This phone is absolutely rubbish. You cannot turn off the deafening sound when you turn it on and off and it is not at all easy to use. The complete opposite of what it is promoted to be. I bought a Doro phone for my Dad - more expensive but really easy to use and very clear. This phone is absolutely rubbish. That TV has a lot of audio adjustments on it. Try changing the equalizer settings in the mid range. You may also want to see what it does when you hook something else to it and check the sound. If all else fails you can try the digital audio connection to see if that is clear. Otherwise you may to replace the audio board.
I was told by on star that if you leave the drivers door open for 90 seconds and then lock all of the doors and wait until the next day the system will reset itself. I know this sounds like smoke and mirrors but it does work. Please let me know. Hope this helps.
