You need to call your service provider and ask for the puk code. Find out the customer care number for your service provider and give them a call. They will provide you with you code, you enter it and your phone will work again.

PUK code can be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number.
Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no. If you cant contact through your phone get some other phone and contact them.
Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.

Do not worry about anything. You can easily obtain the PUK code without any charge, from your service provider by calling on Customer care number.
PUK is PIN Unlocking Code. When you enter a wrong PIN for 3 times the SIM gets locked and asks for a PUK code. Once you get the PUK code from your service provider you can create a new PIN for the SIM card.

Please note that if you Enter a Wrong PUK 10 times your SIM card will be corrupt and you will not be able to use it. So please do not try to guess the PUK.
PUK code cannot be generated by any software. Only your service provide can give you the PUK code for your SIM.

There is nothing wrong with the phone. It is just the sim/ chip for your network that is blocked. i.e. the simcard is blocked. if you remove the sim and put another sim the phone will work.

See your network provide for sim unblocking.

The PUK code, (Personal unblocking Code) is used when you enter in a PIN wrong too many times. Not sure why you would need a PUK for inserting a indian SIM card. regardless the PUK code should be entered in when the AT&T SIM is inserted in the phone and asking you for the PUK. Also PUK's can change, you may need to call and get a more current one

SOS, means the wireless is not on, or your on emgency calls, if you enter the wrong password 10 times, your phone will be erased.

Try pressing * then the call key and entering again.
