If the stereo earphone output socket is in tact (not broken), most likely the problem maybe the Earphone-cord is broken.

Either your phone is on silent, your volume is all the way down, or your speaker is broken. Most likely the first two, but if it IS your speaker, return it to your Cellphone Provider and tell them of your problem.

I know you might not want to hear this but the person selling the item may have known that the speakers were fully or almost blown out.

Hi. It sounds like you are using your Skull Candy headphones through your TV's headphone jack. To make your friends' voices play through your headphones, first press the big X button in between the Back and Start buttons on your controller. Next, scroll all the way over to the right with your left joystick and select Preferences. Now, click on Voice. Change the setting here to either Play through speakers or Play through both.

Hummm... can you hear ANY audio from the speaker/earphone jack on your computer?...

Try any budget earphone/earbud.

I had the same problem with the exactly same model of steelseries headphones! The only way that I could heare my friends talk was to change the settings in "preferences"-"Voice" and then change the "Voice Output" settings to "Play through Both" and then it worked. But the only problem is that when your friends talk, will the game Volume reduce and the chat volume increase. Hope it help! :)

There is but I don't think you would want to go to the trouble of doing it. The wires that energize the diaphram on an earphone is thinner than a human hair, and it is almost impossible to work with.

the logitech headset doesnt require drivers it should work right away after plugin in

try with another pc if the problem persists then its a faulty headset if not then you need to reinitialize your usb ports.

The symptoms you describe are caused by a break in the earphone socket ground connection.

If you are confident enough, dismantle the player and re-solder the 4 connections to the earphone socket.
