I have a maytag 2000 series front load washer and the door is stuck. Is there any way to manually open it? Its a MHWE250XL model.

For MHWE200X series (could not find specifics on the 250XL)
Did all of the water drain out of the washer during the spin?
Select RINSE, DRAIN & SPIN to remove any water remaining in the washer. The washer door should unlock at the end of the drain.
Is the door locked and is the "Add Clothes" light on?
Press START/PAUSE once. The door should unlock.
If the issue is not that ... but indeed having a stuck latch then there were references that the method below would work on some Maytags:
UNPLUG the washer and remove the bottom front service panel. Carefully reach up along the inside of that front panel and pull down on the manual release tab that is on the bottom of the door latch assembly.
If your machine does have a bottom service panel ... then there should also be taped somewhere inside the machine the technician service paper work which can usually be helpful also ...

Good luck on your troubleshooting!

Washer is Kenmore He2 model # 110.46462501

Hi,
It sounds like you have something stuck in the pump.
To repair
Unplug machine.
Remove bottom front panel(remove 2-3 screws in the bottom) Pull bottom of panel out and down to remove.
Towards the center bottom you will see the pump. On the front is a round thing that resembles a filter. This is the pump filter screen...Get a shallow pan to put under screen. Turn lid counter clockwise to remove(turn slowly and allow water to drain. As you may need to dump pan several times before all water is drained out. Be carful or you could end up with water everywhere. Once the water is drained pull out screen and remove the debris and objects stuck in screen and filter housing you should also be able to see the impeller on the pump inspect for debris. Once everything is cleaned out reverse removal procedures put back together.

Amana Touchmatic Heavy Duty Washer Filter Light Flashing

I have the same washer unit and I purchased my washer new in 1989. The flashing filter light is normal. If the light doesn't flash, than the water filter is plugged up. The water filter is self cleaning each time the water empties. You can take off the front panel(two screws at the bottom and the top disengages with metal clips. The water filter in at the bottom on the right, white plastic housing. There is a drive belt from the motor that powers the pump. When the washer goes into the spin cycle, the motor changes rotation direction and the pump works in reverse, thus flushing out the lint that may have been captured during the agitation cycle. I hope this helps.

Washer leaks from bottom as soon as it starts filling with water

There are 2 green clips between the top of the unit and the front panel. (you can use a flash light to find them easier). Push on the with a putty knife or small flat head screw driver while lifting on the top. Once the top is open, you will find 2 5/16 screws that hold the front panel on at the top on the right and left hand sides. Once these are removed, you can tilt the front panel forward and see where the water is leaking from.
