Omron nebulizer will not mist. All tubing is intact. What to do?

I checked all the tubing and all parts. Have used nebulizer in the past without difficulty. But this time, no misting - the medication just sits in the cup. The compressor does come on. Any ideas?

Thanks for the info. technical support is always an option. However, in so many instances, the complexity and frustration of dealing with technical support (sometimes talking to someone who is english-deficient) can be very stressful.

I was favorably hoping that someone might have experienced my specific problem - however I do accept your solution of contacting tech support.

You'll read a lot about making sure that the filter is clean and that the medicine cup is cleaned and that hard water can effect the operation of the nebulizer. However, the problem is most likely in the pump. Even though the pump is running, it is not pushing enough air into the medicine cup. You may even feel air coming out of the tube. When unrestricted, the air will come out, but, once restricted by the medicine cup, the air may not be fast enough to nebulize the liquid. If you want to confirm this, take the tube and hold it to the end of a bike pump, if, while pumpung, you successfully see mist, then you know for sure.

Fixing the pump is not too difficult. Over time, the chamber where the air is compressed becomes dry and, just like a dry bike pump, the air escapes from the chamber due to poor seals. The pump is pretty simple. Make sure it is unplugged from power and remove the screws holding the housing together. Inside you will see the motor, a fan, a power switch and the intake and outtake tubes. Follow the outtake tube to the pump. The junction where the tubes meet the pump is the location of the air chamber. You may need to remove the screws that secure the tubes to the chamber. Once apart, take some grease and lightly coat all of the interior surfaces of the chamber. When finished, reassemble and you're good to go!

I would assume there is a problem in the filter or nebulizer/medicine cup area but your best bet would be to contact Omron technical support at 1-800-634-4350. Since this unit has a five year warranty i would stick with dealing with Omron. Good luck and please rate solution.

Nebulizer omron mist coming out most of the time but it takes very long for medication to finish

Nebulizers are a slow steady way to administer inhalation medication. the whole idea is that you have to slow down, relax and breath regular and steady to get all the medication. just a side note make sure you clean the face mask on a regular basis because they are great places to grow mold and bacteria. hope it helps.

Omron nebulizer ne-u22 will not stay on. Power indicator light quickly blinks once when on/off pressed but no response.

Some people write that it needs replacing new batteries. To some extent they are right. But when batteries are weak it gives signal showing red led light on left side. But even if the green light blinks after pressing ON button and does not stay ON. It means that there is problem with it's MESH CAP(Part number NE-U22-4). Either you need to replace it ,if it is completely rusted/damaged due to its prolonged use/improper cleaning etc ,
Or needs proper cleaning. So before taking decision for it's replacement, one should try to clean MESH CAP properly. Try to clean it for 2-5mins in boiling water, remove it,rinse it and dry it naturally without wiping or touching the mesh. I have been following this procedure when I face such problem for NO MIST from my Micro air Omron Nebuliser model NE-U22, when green light does not STAYON. Just do this , mostly one need not to replace it's MESH CAP lifetime. I am using this nebuliser since 2009 and it works very fine. Just needs regular cleaning of MESH CAP, mouth piece, medication jar,cap/cover etc.,

Omron vibrating mesh nebulizer quit working

You must be having trouble with the battery. Also please keep the nebulizer properly cleaned as instructed on the pack. Check the connection properly or replace the batteries if needed. Also check out for more information about Omron Nebulizer on the web. It would help you a lot.

My ne u22v is not making mist

You should check if the battery is working fine. I don;t think Omron U2 nebulizer can have any other problem as it works really good for me. Also it is important to clean the Nebulizer properly and please check out the manual for more info. which you would have received while purchasing the Nebulizer.

The baffle part of our Omron Nebulizer is broken could you please tell if we can get the same from somewhere in market or if the complete Nebulizer kit is available??

You can use pretty much any nebulizer kit (try the brand salter, item#8900), this is a universal kit and fits most nebs, I have not seen Omron offer the baffle piece seperate of a new kit (or new neb). Your local pharmacy (Walgreens in my area) sells the kits, or check with the provider that gave you the unit.
