parts for MUCH older units on eBay
(but it really helps to know what the carb looks like)...

There is a float valve interior of the steam generator that supplies water to the generator unit. There are no parts available for that unit, and Kohler was useless re: repair. I have the same unit and mine is doing the same thing. I took it apart and there is a washer worth about a nickel that is inside the unit. I flipped the washer over in mine and it worked for about a week....then back to the same problem.
This couldv'e went under here or I have the same problem, unfortunately there aren't dealers selling spare parts unless it's wholesale(in bulk) to another dealer. I know this is going to sound cliche-ish but ebay is the only place where you may get a non working unit that has the part you need for a halfway decent price. Just check with the seller to make sure that the part you need on the unit is working before you purchase.
Generally, most manufacturers have websites where you can buy spares. There are also local distributors who will often sell to the public. Your original retailer may also be of assistance.
