Heating extremely fast and smells like burning rubber

If it is a belt driven dryer the belt may be spinning on the motor shaft and it may be bad. Hence the burning rubber smell. Have it checked.

Heard a pop and then an electrical smell. Unit is working but a faint electrical smell occurs each time unit used. Should I continue using it? It is built in with a trim kit.

No that is a very dangerous situation. What is sounds like is you had a short that blew apart but not completely damaging the wires. You should unplug, and open it if its out of warranty and inspect the wires. If the wires are partially burned it can heat up and cause an electrical fire.

Discolored terminal on cord

Check the dryer power cord for any signs of melting or charring. It could just be a loose connection. Then.....

Check the wall plug - there's a possibility the wall socket is either worn or the wiring to the socket isn't tight. The socket will need to be removed to check this, so make sure the power is off first.

Heard a loud pop...saw a bright flash...burnt smelled and dryer stopped working. Circuit breaker will not re-set.

You may have a wire that has come loose of it's restraints and is rubbing on the drum as it turns. This would cause the wire's insulation to wear off, and if it's an electric dryer, you're dealing with 220volt wiring. The spark and burning smell is similar to arc welding.
You'll need to open the dryer up and find the damaged wire and reinsulate it with electrical tape or heat-shrink wrap.
It should be easily visible ...look for the burnt, blackened marks..

Dryer smells like something is burning. Heard a snap but checked the belt and it is intact.

The burning smell usually comes from an overheating motor. Onces it heats to a certain point, it will trip the thermal switch on the motor. Motor should be getting around 11 amps. Best of luck :)

Dryer was running with full load of clothes. Heard a loud pop twice, ran back to the laundry room and smelled like something burning. Turned dryer off, and now it won't start back. Also, the very top of...

Well it sounds like a sound I have heard... forgetting that I had a cigarette lighter in my pocket and having it explode from the heat in the dryer. But you say you heard two loud pops?

Once everything cools down, check again and report back... does the dryer not turn on at all? Does the light come on when you open the door? Does it buzz when you push the start button? Stuff like that.

Crosley CDE6500AZW heating, but drum not rolling

OK Here is what I think happened. I have heard of this before. You melted a wheel and that broke the belt. This is a simple dryer to repair and parts are not that much. Well worth fixing. Start by popping the top remove the front then get the drum out and inspect the damage.
