you will have to check with a radio dealer to get the correct "pigtail" to install that into your Dakota..and also the dealer can tell you if it is compatable with your Dakota..i hope this helps
A word of caution here.If the wires are ,old, faded cut etc, please consider REPLACING them.
Replace ALL the wires with new ones as wires matter a lot in a car stereo .

Go over the steps in this link. You can account for each wire needed and you can see where the blue wire goes. In most of the stereo's I have installed the blue wire is either memory wire or ground wire.
