Status bar (that shows sum of highlighted cells) has vanished

My status bar (I think) that shows the sum of highlighted cells has vanished. I'm working with this flaming new version of excel... have gone to the view tab but can't find anything that says status bar..
Have also tried to right click where I think the bar should be, no luck

Could anyone tell me how to put it back?

Thanks a million

The status bar is located at the bottom of the Excel window. It is to the left of the View buttons. If you right click, a customixe status bar menu appears and you can select what you want to show. If is does not come up, you should run Microsoft Office Diagnostics located under the Office tools menu.

When you select some data in excel , you can come to know the count , sum , average , range ,min ,max .The same appears below scroll bar . It has suddently disappeared from my workbook .Hence very...

I don't have 2010, but I do have 2007. Now, provided that status bar is still there, right click on it and check the boxes you want to show on your status bar, such as sum, count, etc.

If you status bar is not there, make sure your are in NORMAL view and not Full Screen View. Hit the escape key a few times to get back to Normal. It would also be a good idea to click on the View ribbon menu to see what view you are in.

After that, I am at a loss to assist you.

Failed to connect to the internet thr wi-fi

f Active Standby is activated on your Cell, your WLAN connection status is always visible from standby mode. The bottom line of the screen shows your WLAN status. If there are no wireless networks in the area, you'll see the message 'No WLAN network found'. If you're near a WLAN that you're not connected to, you'll see the message 'WLAN name found'.

To log on to this network, simply highlight the WLAN status line and press the centre selection key. You'll see three options:
  • Start Web browsing
  • Search for WLAN
  • Switch WLAN scan off

If the WLAN has detected then cell will open, unprotected network (and needs no passcode to access) then simply highlight Start Web browsing and press the centre selection key to go to your Bookmarks page and start browsing the web.

Hope this helps

Count the number of open and closed order status per owner

My suggestion is to use a Pivot Table.  Follow these instructions:
Click on column A1 - then in the menu bar click DATA > Pivot Table and Pivot Chart Report.

Click NEXT on step 1 of pivot table wizard.
For step two you will want to highlight all of the data on your sheet.  then click next.
Choose NEW WORKSHEET for step 3 of the pivot table wizard and click finish.
Once the Pivot Table sheet opens, drag the STATUS field into the top left corner of the pivot table view, where "drop column fields" and "drop row fields" meet.  Next drop another instance of the STATUS field into the "drop row fields here" column.  And lastly drop the OWNER field into the "drop column fields here" section.  You should now be viewing a report showing you exactly what you were looking for.
Regards,
Joe

No battery status Garmin 760

Went to Best Buy and they didn't know how to get the bar up either but said that the unit should be charged in 3 to 4 hours. So, when i unplugged the unit from the wall...the battery status showed up. I guess it doesn't show when the unit is plugged into the AC charger. Now, all is well.
