Element tv 32 in, sound work but no picture

I bought this tv 1 year ago model flx-3211 element from circuit city till now it workek ok but now no picture only sound is working can some one help me thanks

    We use the TV extensively and has been working excellent for over a year. We were away for a few days and when we switched the TV on after about a week there was a click sound (like a click but noticable) and a slight burning smell. After that there is sound but no picture.

    TV was bought from Circuit city. Have no warranty :( dont know what to do) 50" hard to carry to the repair guys.

    37" LCD flat screen TV FLX3711B

    I had the TV two months...It clicks and then no picture. The screen goes black but the sound works....

    Called Element Electronics and called three different support phone numbers and no one answers...i stayed on hold at least 25-30 minutes before giving up.....

    Sent e-mails to customer support with no reply.

    My advice "do not" by anything from Element Electronics...

    We've had our tv since Christmas and we also have the same problem.

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. There aren't any buttons to push on the remote. There are 3 main boards in the TV: Power supply, main, and T-Con board. Do this test. With the TV on shine a flashlight on the screen and look for a faint picture. If you don't see one, then the T-Con board is bad. If you do see one then the backlight driver is not turning on the the white light for the screen. This driver can be on the power supply or the main board. It depends on the model. Since your TV is 10 years old you may want to get a new TV.

the problem you are having can be fixed with an adjutment that has to be done on the power supply. you will need a thec to do this adjustment. as for the remote you can get them here.

as for the extended warranty if it is still under manufacturers warranty you should be able to get it from the place you purchased it from( if they offer it) or the manufacturer.
