Got nothing?, (means PC is dead or just key buttons dead)
tell what works and not, we can not watch you or it. please
Series:
DV4000 is a series of LT. it has a full & real model stated on its service tag, only THAT works,
so how'd it get w8? there? (bought FROM MS or HP?????)
why mess with BIOS> ? if this fails it bricks the PC.
(if you must flash always flash using the usb stick way. (freedos)
not only that using the wrong model to flash, HP sold this series with AMD and Intel processors. oops......
next time before doing such big thing ask, hp first?
both model and p/n matter, when doing updates or buying parts.
big time!
learn that HP page, the exact model and OS must be selected
or it shows you the WRONG BIOS and wrong driver and wrong HP APPS. for a fact.
here is the series page, dangerous, imo
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv4-4000-entertainment-notebook-pc-series/5082208
use the real page by using real models #
BIOS101
pick any LT. even yours.
the PC can have 6 different network chips used in the long production run.. and GPU and other features, very different.
in your case even the CPU vastly different. amd/intel
so giving that fact, picking the right BIOS binary can be very hard.
best of all why not ask HP before even walking the path.

The # 443694-001 refers to the cd set. You need to know which DV9000 you have. On this link you will see all the DV9000 models.:

You will need to use a friend's computer for the following.
Once you find the correct firmware, You can make a bootable CD by using Nero or Roxio burning software, these are the most common on computers nowaday.Once you make the bootable CD, you will have to set your laptop to boot from the CDROM. Then boot the CD you made and run the firmware update.
I don't believe you would be able to get a USB flash drive to boot in this condition.
Good Luck

Right Click the Start button, choose properties, then select the taskbar tab. Remove the check mark next to "show Quick Launch".
What are you using for your media player?
Which OS are you on? When does the button turn red?
