Just bought and used but very hot is that normal

Hi Daun, it's Jack at Dyson.

Let me reassure you that it's normal for your Dyson Cinetic Big Ball to generate heat in use. You'll notice the exhaust air exiting the outlets in the ball shell feels warm - this is because it's just passed through the motor, which is also housed within the ball.

Like most Dyson vacuums, the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball is equipped with a thermal cutout, which would shut the machine down for protection if it actually started to overheat. Ordinarily this would be due to a temporary blockage, which should be easily resolved.

I hope this information answers your question, but remember our experts are on hand to help if you need further assistance at any point. You can reach the Dyson Customer Helpline by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

How to make fishing rigs

Every fish as some thing that works best. We fished silvers off the jetty at Reeds port Or (got to Google earth it) wit a half pound lead ball first then a herring double hook rig and a big cork float to keep the crabs from getting it all. It cast on a big open face spinning reel with 8 foot rod.

Some fresh water trout were so over fished and smart. the only thing that worked was a long shank hook wit 7 or 8 sing hooked worms 3# leader and 2 loose worms on the bait ball. Those would float free and entice the young ones, but the big old boy would wait and then get the big bait ball.

SO --- it aint just fishing.

My green air hog helicopter is spinning on the ground, it won't lift and fly, how do I fix it?

Hi,
There is a problem on the motor gear, check the underside where you could see a big gear that should spin when you try to lift the helicopter. Check both big gears if they rotate/spins.
Usually the problem is the small gear on the motor shaft that is not aligned to that big gear. Check on it and adjust the small gear of the motor.

Hope that copter flies high.
Thanks for asking FixYa!

My 1986 heater blower motor stopped working. I replaced the resistor, and still no luck. Its either the blower motor or the switch. Is it a big job to replace the switch, if the motor tests ok?

If the resistor was bad, high speed would still work. The blower motor is likely bad. Check items before replacing them. Rap on the blower a few times, and see if it will try to spin. Check the wire on the blower motor, and if it has power, the blower is bad.

Starter button wont work, battery ok,everything else was fine

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, try starting the bike with the clutch lever pulled in and/or the sidestand folded up. If it does start, then the interlocks (safety features) has to be checked.

If still a no go, determine if you hear a clicking sound. If yes, follow the big cable from the battery's + terminal. it would normally end up in the starter motor relay. Jumper the 2 big terminals while starting the bike. Expect a big spark hence jumper on the nuts, not on the threaded portion. if the starter motor spins, then it would be a defective syarter relay. If the motor stil fails to spin, then it would be a faulty starter motor; most likely the carbon brushes.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Damp and piled up clothes at the end of each cycle

Good Day.... I feel for you... Unknowingly,When they purchase it. Many people have the same experience in finding service for products such as your experiencing.
Of course, it's our hope and belief, it's not ever going to have a problem, some people are lucky. Me neither... mine is in computers... but that's another story.. Just believe me, I understand ... but I'm going to try to help... why I picked up this call, is because I find it to be interesting, about the comment about the clothes gathering into a ball... Generally, that happens in relationship to the amount of water, inside or lack of it. If the clothes are in a ball, that's why they're coming out wet. Nobody makes a washer that can do that.
I want you to check the drain line...(that's the hose to water uses to exit) Is the hose at any point, higher than the top of the machine (it's supposed to be) ... if not siphoning may be occurring.
Also check to drain hose at the inlet, where the hose goes into the wall.. it must allow air to get in here as well. I have experienced some indifferent situations before, if the hose in stuffed into the stand-pipe, or taped, glued, sealed.. if there is no vacuum break (meaning-place in which air can enter) that to can create a siphon. Ge was known for having a washer that made the kind of bang you describe. It was their normal method for stopping the clothes basket from spinning forever. I hope this answer works for you, otherwise resolving may continue to be difficult. One piece of information you'll have received, is what you will and won't recommend to buy when you hear others having conversation on buying a major Appliance. Sometimes it's all we can do... I wish you best... dean
