More than likely you will need to replace the display screen but before you do take the screen out and reseat the LCD connector. This will sometimes fix a white screen.

If not, a new LCD screen runs about 15 dollars shipped from eBay and is pretty easy to replace.

They might b a software problem also hardware probelm ie the Eprom could be damaged this is the chip that contains the operating program if bad cant start.

simple answer, nothing if you can find the firmware for the phone, in fact s500 can be flashed to w580!

if you follow this procedure carefully http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=36780

firmware you will need is here http://www.iprotebe.cz/firmware-section2.html (free but need to register)

if you decide you want to make it a w580 just use w580 firmware instead of s500 :)

yes it can be fix..go to pro's and ask to flash u'r fone.. meaning your firmware has been currupted ..and oh, b4 you go check if it will run again and do this go to menu, settings, and look for master reset, code (oooo) if u put codes then dont use the code i gave... goodluck man..
