Hoover EmPower 4600 keeps blowing circuit breaker. The number of outlets in the house that will allow me to run the vacuum is dropping quickly. It is a 4 year old house and all the circuit breakers are 20 amps. The vacuum only has a 12 amp motor. I am at a loss to solve this problem.

Take it to a friends house and plug it in if it does the same thing then the problem is in the vacuum cleaner.check your cord and see if there are anny cuts in it.you can open the breaker box then plug in the vacuum and watch the breaker box.you might see a spark and narrow down the problem.

I have a 4 yr old vx6000c central vac that constantly blows house breaker

This unit requires a 15AMP 120 VOLT dedicated circuit. If there are other appliances or items on this central vacuum circuit, this could overload the circuit causing it to pop. The other issue that could be occurring is that the central vacuum is on a GFI circuit or ARC fault circuit. Central Vacuum Units are not designed to run on these types of electrical circuits.

My max exract 77 causes circuits to break

you need to plug your cleaner into a outlet that does not have other devices in use ,such as a lamp, tv , stereo/radio. If you use a receptacle In the kitchen you will probably not blow the breaker. make sure other kitchen appliances are not in use. - toaster , mixer, coffee maker etc.

Hoover empower belt need replace

To gain access to the belt: remove 2 screws at the top rear cover, next remove 2 screws at the bottom front cover. This will allow the cover to be removed. Then remove 3 or 4 screws that hold the roller in place (from the top). you will be able to see the belt and replace it.

My Sebo hoover trips the house mains sockets every time I switch it on, yet doesn't trip the kitchen mains. Have replaced filters/bag to reduce load but still no good. What should I be investigating in the...

Hello,
It sounds like your vacuum is fine if it works when plugged in the kitchen outlet. It is tripping the breaker switch in the other room because the circuit is overloaded (too many things plugged in this circuit). Try unplugging some things in that room and try your vacuum again.
If it only trips when using one particular outlet, then the outlet should be replaced. I would recommend having an electrician check your wiring out.

Hope this helps

How often should I change a Hoover Empower filter?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Depending on what type of filter it is, the suggested change for a filter is every 6 months to one year if it is a cartridge filter or HEPA filter, if it is a filter that can be vacuumed off or it might be a washable filter – you can clean it that way until the filter starts to fall apart – then @ that time you would want to replace it @ that time. Please check with you local vac dealer. Filters
It's important to replace your vacuum filter or HEPA filter regularly to keep your Hoover vacuum working best. Not only will this increase the life of your vacuum, it will also keep unwanted dust, dirt and allergens out of the air. Keep your home Hoover clean with genuine Hoover filters.
So If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
