DARK PICTURE- CAN'T LIGHTEN OR BRIGHTEN WITH REMOTE- HOW TO FIXS

I'm afraid you can't. The contrast controls will lighten/darken the foreground, but there is no way of doing the same to the background.

Try going to your menu or input select and you should see a scale to darken or lighten input. The remote should have a button on it to let you get to main menu.

The whole point of a webcam is to be able to see the person you are speaking with, and let them see you. Assuming brightness and contrast (picture on some sets) does not help it could be a number of things, how old is this set?

how about in the menu button you can not get an adjustment in brightness control. if the display in the screen is too dark either in any channel or even watching a movie from an input source like dvd player, then i may say that the picture tube need now replacement.

Hi This could be one of three possibilities, one the High Voltage Screen Adjustment is off, Two the Picture Tube is Weak, or Three there is a problem with the Video Drive Amp/Amps, these are things that should be checked or adjusted by a qualified technician, especially the High Voltage Screen Adjustment, hope this helps.
