Camera will not charge or turn on - Casio TRYX Digital Camera

The manual says:
Confirm all connections.
Off is selected for Charge by computer in the setup menu.
When charging by connecting the camera to a computer, battery charging stops when the camera is turned off.
When charging by connecting the camera to a computer, battery charging stops if the computer is suspended (sleeping), and the camera may turn off.
Depending upon computer specifications, settings, and status, it may be impossible to charge the battery inserted into the camera via computer connection.
So be sure you are charging the correct way. Best way to do is to remove the battery and put it on the charger for a couple of hours. If you have the battery out, you can check all connections of battery and in the camera.
In trouble shooting, more than a full page is dedicated only to the battery and the method of charging. The manual is still online, but should also on the CD you got with the camera.

Sure the battery is charged? Can you operate the camera with just the adapter? If so, does the camera work then. If so the new battery is defective.

In General. Nikon Coolpix cameras TURN ON when you change them. This means when you plug in USB with a computer the camera turns on and the computer sees it.

If you turn the camera ON. And the Battery indicator shows "FULL CHARGE" you may NOT be able to charge it.

To eliminate variables. Do not charge with the computer until you charge with the adapter (wall charger). When the wall charger works then try the computer.

Look at page 145 in your manual for Computer charging.

Make sure your date and time are set in the camera.

Make sure it NEEDS a charge.

Please make sure that the Battery in the Camera is fully charged.
Please check if the issue is with the battery charger. Make sure that the Charge Lamp in the Battery Charger is lit when connected to the Wall outlet.
You can try recharging the battery pack for almost 6 hours as initial charging.
If you've another battery pack, try using the same to check if the issue is with the Camera or with the battery.
You can also try turning on the Camera by connecting the optional ACL-S5K AC Adapter. This Adapter can be used for turning on the Camera, it cannot be used to charge the battery pack. For charging the battery in the Camera, the supplied battery charged needs to be used.
If the Camera is not turning on using both the AC Adapter and new battery, then the Camera may require service.

Hi, if you are using the KLIC-5000 battery try to clean the metal contacts on the battery. Try also to remove the battery of your camera dock your camera on the docking station then turn on the camera, if the camera will not turn on it means the charging mechanism of the dock is defective. Now if the camera turns on it means the battery is defective that is why you can charged it.

Is the camera charging? Remember when charging thought the computer NOT to switch the camera on since this will deactivate the model to charge. Try the following: 1. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Turn the camera on. 2. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a no power repair with KODAK or a new cable.

Red light indicates that the camera is out of charged., Try to charged your battery for 3-4 hrs if you encounter flashing red on a fully charged battery you need to call kodak 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

You can charged you camera using 5V AC Adaptor or a USB cable taht attached into the computer

If battries still blinking , chances are that the battries are buggred...try new battries after fully charging...this is cheaper option to try before trying to open the camera..
