1995 Isuzu Rodeo won't start all of a sudden.

My 1995 Isuzu Rodeo all of a sudden just won't start. All lights, chimes, etc work fine, but when you turn the key we only hear a small click coming from the fuse box inside the engine compartment. As far as we can tell there is no clicking at all coming from the starter. We tested the battery and its fully charged. I've read a lot of forums stating it could be anything from the starter to the ignition switch. Can anyone help us narrow this down with what I've listed?

The click you hear is probably the relay. If so, you may have a bad solenoid. I recommend you remove the starter/solenoid and have it tested at a local parts store.

Connect a volt meter to the large cable on the starter motor and engine earth must be 12 volts, engage the starter with the ignition key ,still 12 volts battery terminals ok, large voltage drop starter shorted out, If still 12 volts shift voltmeter probe from large starter cable to small terminal on starter solenoid, engage starter with key, must be 12 volts if so starter switch at key is ok and the starter motor is at fault.

First, make sure you can turn the engine by hand. If you can't then the starter can't turn it either. Have someone else turn the key and look for the source of the click...may be a relay. Go over the starting circuit with a volt meter. Check for power at the starter main terminal and then with the key turned to "start" check for power at the trigger terminal on the starter. Check battery voltage and check relay operation.
You have a neutral safety switch on the transmission if its an automatic and a clutch switch if it's a stick. Check them as well. Make sure battery grounding on fender and block are also clean and secure.

It's when the security light starts flashing that the infamous "chip" in the key becomes a nightmare to many. Gradually the car begins not cranking anymore or if it cranks it would start and die in a second. Randomly it will do this more and more often until it won't start anymore. VATS, PASSkey and Passlock immobilizer systems are killing cars all over North America, they have a short lifespan and are certainly more effective against owners than thieves. Here is how you save your car
1st trick, Try a spare key that is newer or used less. The pins wear down and so do the keys causing security fail. 2nd trick, (if not starting) turn the key forward 2 clicks till right before it would normally start, leave like that for 10 minutes. ( no less ) After 10 minutes, turn key back then forward and your car might start. I did this in my regal for more than a year. If its shutting down while running, im sorry i have no quick fix... Cheap fix: Bypass the chip in your key. Temporary, but effective. Until the TDM (theft deterrent module) in the dash poops out, then you're kinda screwed. I was told that these types of key security systems have a 7-10 year life span. Sucks for us. This link explains the "Key Issue" pretty well.

Never worry again fix: Bypass the whole VATS/Passlock/passkey I or passkey II system entirely. Literally take it out, and throw it away. I just did this in my Regal. Took about an hour. Took longer to find the thing than it did to fix the problem. They sell a unit for 200 bucks to totally bypass this system FOREVER. life time-money back and all that. Finally did this in my car. Well worth the 200 if you've looked into getting this replaced... Anywhere from 600-1000 bucks. If you do buy this, please purchase it thru this link. I don't understand what you mean by starting in drive instead of first. It should not start in any gear other than park and neutral.
as for the lights , you may have blown a fues or have a dead short from the trailer pigtail you used for pulling the boat.

My 4x4 hubs won't lock on my 96 Isuzu rodeo

I assume they are manual locking hubs? Once you engage the hubs and select 4WD you must reverse a few meters and you will hear them click into place, If they don't lock in your hubs may need servicing, They are quite easy to dismantle and re-grease which you can do yourself if you are handy with mechanical buts and pieces.

I have a rodeo/isuzu 4ze1-a recently replaced the MAF sensor and ended up with no spark.. Power to coil and out but no power to distributer.. Replaced distributer and still no luck... All relays and fuses...

you said your not getting spark..... double check that all of your plug wires are firmly attached ... you could possibly have a bad coil pack .
