Can someone kickstart me into solving this problem !

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format.
You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player using the supplied USB cable when you connect the MP3 player to the computer.

Click on the link that says "TH1101 (1GB) Mp3 Player" - it will bring up the page for your model. The page is divided into "solved" and unsolved problems. Search the questions in the "solved" section first to see if someone else has already asked the same question.

go to memorexelectronics.com and then to support. You need to upload the current firmware for model MMP8565.. I downloaded the firmware program and followed the instructions, it fixed all the problems I was having with the mp3 player. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully, it may get a little tricky if you are not somewhat computer literate.

When a Gogear or or other mp3 player gets low on battery life they begin to act up. What has happen is you battery life has been depleted. Even after charging the battery, it will not be able to act normal. I have had this happen too. The only thing you can do is call Phillips to see if there is some kind of warrenty still left or you can have them fix it or try to fix it yourself. The batter is somewhat expensive, $40. I ended up just selling it on eBay explaining the battery problem and someone bought it. Then I used that money and bought a functional one for only a little more. It really is the best way to do it unless you have an extra battery around and know how to fix it. Unlike the iPod, there are not a million knock off batteries out there for the Goegear so you are basically stuck with the options I gave you, sorry.

This is a well know fault with the m240. The easiest fix is to take it back to the store you bought it from and get a replacement :)

my zen has been doing this for the past couple months too. the screen appears in vertical bars and is fuzzy. the only thing is to go to the store/ site where you bought it and ask for a replacement.
