Whenever I scan a picture, It's blurry. Canon Mx410

I used to scan pics all the time, now all of a sudden after not using it as much the new pic I wanted to scan is all blurry. I have no idea why. Here's an example of the last image I scanned. https://twitter.com/SebMoji/status/296471028106919936 Now the images I try to scan I need to tweak the effects, but It makes the image look like a crappy webcam took a picture of it. The printer is a Canon Mx410. Thanks.

I had the same problem.
My DPI setting was at 25.
I upped it to 600 and the document scanned perfectly.

SOURCE: My scanner always scans with blurry lines across scanned images from it

Hi,

I believe that you are trying to scan via HP solution center.
Did u tried scanning from Scanners and Cameras in control panel, and did u notice any lines?

If u get the same lines, we have to remove the USB Composite device and imaging device drivers.

1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.

2.You will get Device manager window popping out.

3.Check for Imaging Devices, click on + sign, then u will see "hp photosmart c3100" right click on it and click Uninstall. Then, Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.

4.Check for the "USB Composite Device" and right click on it, click Uninstall.(IMPORTANT NOTE:wE HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, TO KNOW WHETHER IS THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, RIGHT CLICK ON USB COMPOSITE DEVICE AND PROPERTIES,look for wat location says, Eg -LOCATION : HO DESKJET F300)

5.Disconnect the USB and reboot the PC.

6.Connect the USB after reboot, you will get popup "Found new hardware".Then the Drivers will be installed Automatically.

7.Try scanning. Please let me know after following the steps!

Acquire Text The following instructions will give you the basic instructions to acquire text from a scanned document in Office Word 2007 using OmniPage SE.

  1. Ensure the Canon scanner driver and OmniPage SE are installed and that your scanner has been setup.

Note: If OmniPage SE is not installed, the required Add-in for Office Word 2007 will not be installed
  2. Place the document(s) to scan on the platen or on the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) (if applicable).

  3. Open Office Word 2007.

  4. From the ribbon menu, select the 'Add-Ins' tab.

    add-ins000.gif

  5. In the Add-Ins tab, click 'OmniPage' and then select 'Acquire Text Settings (OmniPage SE)'.
    The Options window will open.

    add-ins002.gif

  6. On the Direct OCR tab, click the 'Image Source' drop-down to select 'Scan'.

    add-ins003.gif

  7. Confirm 'Scan' is shown in Image Source section and then click 'OK'.
The Options window will close and you'll return to Office Word 2007.
    add-ins005.gif

  8. Click 'OmniPage' and select 'Acquire Text (OmniPage SE)' to scan your document.

    add-ins006.gif

SOURCE: HP C5180 scanner won't scan an image

I'm running Windows Vista 64bit Ultimate Edition. Have the C5180, all-in-one. HP Solution Center continually closed, saying No HP Devices Found. I completely uninstalled the printer software, using the install utility. Then, using Add/Remove Programs, removed all of the other HP software on my PC. Then deleted the HP directory (in program files x86), and removed the HP registry key under software in both HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE & HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Then rebooted. Once that was done and back up, I reran the install utility, but this time I followed the steps below (from here - http://hpanswers.blogspot.com/2007/12/no-hp-devices-detected-hp-solution.html):

Click on next until you get the below three options
(i) Recommended

(ii)Custom-------------->Select This

( iii)uninstall

Choose the custom install and click on next, ****

At begining of the installation, It gives you to 2 options

I) Yes, Check for updates..........

II) No, I prefer to do it Myself--Select this option and click on next

Immediatley in the next window ,you will have long list of softwares with the empty check boxes beside them.DO NOT select(check) Hp update, check rest of them and click on next to continue the installation.

You will able to open the HP solution centre with No errors.

Additionally, I did the following 2 steps, that I mostly found here (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00897551&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&softwareitem=oj-54112-1&os=2093&product=1153481&rule=9653&lang=en)

Add the following files to the Trusted programs list:

*
hpqkygrp.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
*
hpqscnvw.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
*
hpqste08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
*
hpqtra08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
*
hpqthb08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.

Open the following ports on the firewall utility by following the instructions provided by the manufacturer:

*
UDP ports: 161, 427 and 137
*
TCP ports: 9220, 9500 and 9290

SOURCE: I have a Canon MX410

It's under printer options, format memory. You'll probably have to play with it a little because they like to hide the format option so you don't do it accidentally. Good luck! Please leave me a good rating, thanks! :)

Blurry picture if zoom is used ( no Sharp mage)

I'm out of practice because my camera suddenly stopped working 6 months ago, but I don't recall having a problem with blurry pictures when I used the zoom. Sometimes, it takes a few seconds for a pic to come into clear focus. I think the trick is to just keep working with it.

I have a brand new Canon PIXMA MX410 and don't know how to scan into my computer!

You will have a utility on your PC Named "Windows Fax and Scan" this is in my opinion the easiest and most accessible utility to use.

I have just lost the photos from my new 8gb memord card using brand new powershotSX30IS.

You haven't given us much to work with. Unless you've deleted the pictures on purpose or formatted the card, your pics are still there. You could get a card reader and use it to download your pics to a computer. You could also take the card to a store like Walmart and use one of their picture kiosk machines to either print the pics or even make a cd copy of them. typrice_239.jpg

Memory cards don't cause blurry pics. Is your lens clean? Is the lens extending properly?

Blurry pictures from Vivitar Camera

possibly go to the menu, and go to quality, if it isnt set on fine, then change it,or, set your scene on auto, so if the pic is fast moving, it can adjust to take clearer pics. otherwise i am of no help.
