Mac Os X 10.6.8

I cannot print, because the printer is set up to ask for an account track. The security option is "crossed out" when I open the printer options when trying to print

SOURCE: Bizhub c450 - setting account tracking for color only

Yes.

When setting up this option it is one of the variables that can be changed.
I reccomend using the Webportal.
Type the IP address of the MFP and then when the page is displayed, click log out and then log back in as administrator.
You will see the account tract and authification settings there.
This is far easier than navigating through the panel.

go to the properties of the printer, then options and then select the option under "duplex". This will solve the problem.

SOURCE: Account Track disabled in Vista x64

With the newer driver (ours is 64bit), I did this by going to:

  • Printer Properties >>
  • Configure tab >>
  • In the Device Option area, scroll down to view Account Track >>
  • Select Account Track >>
  • Then, select Enable from the dropdown (in the Setting area).
  • Click OK
[Whew! Who wrote this dialog box, anyway?]

My Epson L120 won't print on both sides whenever I print on my Mac OS: Monterey?

Unfortunately, 2-sided printing is only available for the Epson L20 when used with the Windows OS. See page 22 of the user guide available here: https://www.epson.com.ph/Ink-Tank-Printers/L-Series/Epson-L120/s/SPT_C11CD76401?review-filter=Mac+OS+X+10.11.x#manuals . The current link to the manual is http://support2.epson.net/manuals/english/ij/l120/pdf/npd4965-00.pdf . You might be able to use the Duplex feature if you install BootCamp and an licensed version of Windows (XP up to WIndows 10). Neither BootCamp or licensed copies of Windows are free.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Bizhub C253 "Id & Print" on Mac OS X

Ok this might not be much help but there is an option in the menus to 'print without authentication' you need to go to the control panel on the copier, press the utility/counter button to the right of the touch screen, press administrator settings for which the password is 12345678 then press number 4 user authentication/account track, then number 4 print without authentication, if you turn this option on it will allow you to print from mac, you will need to confirm this with whoever checks the account track as it may not then monitor any of the print jobs. Hope this helps

Description
LPR (line printer remote) is a platform independent printing protocol that is associate with TCP/IP. It works by using LPR client software that communicates to a server running LPR services.

In terms of PSU, LPR printing will become the basis for all network printing while Novell print queues are phased out. Therefore, all Macintosh, Windows, and Unix computers will be configured to print through LPR.

Requirements

· The name of LPR print queue. This can be found by searching the LPR printer database.

· LaserWriter print drivers version 8.5.1 or newer

· The Macintosh must have a working TCP/IP networking configuration. (If the Mac can browse the web then it's working.)

· a server running LPR services or a printer that supports LPR printing. Most HP LaserJet printers support LPR. However, only the following LaserWriters support LPR printing:

- LaserWriter 8500
- LaserWriter 16/600 PS
- LaserWriter 12/640 PS
- Color LaserWriter 12/600 PS
- Color LaserWriter 12/660 PS Procedure

1.Open up the Applications folder from the OS X menu.
2.Open up the Utilities folder
3.Now open up the Print Center
4.If you have no printers installed you will see the following screen. Click on Add.
5.On the following screen, select LPR printing.
6.Now enter printhost.oit.pdx.edu for the LPR Printer's address.
7.Uncheck Use Default Queue on Server option and enter the queue name of the printer.
8.Select the printer model.
9.The completed settings should be similar to the following:
(LPR Printer’s address is the ip of our PRINTSERVER)
10.Click on Add
11.Your printer has successfully been installed. Test the printer by printing something to it.

MAC problem with km-3050

What MAC OS are you using? I don't remember for OS 9 and earlier but if you are using OS X I can help you out. First make sure you are using the latest version of the print driver. When you open a document to print and select the Kyocera printer you will see the print dialog box. You need to look under the printer specific options to find the job accounting. I believe it is under set 2.

Hope this helps.
