When turning the TV on, we do not get the blue screen. Instead there are red spots on the edge of the screen with green and light blue in the middle of the screen.
So, this makes the color completely messed up.
Please help.
Thank you
What you are describing is a degaussing problem. It normally occurs if some Magnetic source has been brought close to your TV. Perhaps you have shifted your TV from part of the room to another? Or to another room? Did you or someone place a magnetic source (Speakers, Tape recorder, Walkie talkie, some toy of your children, etc near or on top of the TV? Just remove it.
And wait for a few days. The problem will get automatically cleared up, as the TV set's Auto Degaussing circuits will clear the color patches.

You have a projection TV - basically a red, green, and blue spotlight is shown onto the back of an opaque screen that creates the color picture you see. The spotlights you are seeing is common for a TV of this vintage and type.
According to the user's manual, you should ideally be sitting no closer than 10 feet to the screen.
Sitting closer to the screen may enhance the phenomenon you are experiencing.
PANASONIC..PT-52LCX15. STARTED TO A LIGHT COMES ON THE SCREEN. THEN TWO LIGHTS. FINALLY TV DONT COMES ON. I PUT ON THE TV, AND ON BOTTON START BLINKING AND TV DONT COME ON..I TAKE OUT THE TV LAMP..IT LOOKS GOOD NOT BURN. SHOULD I REPLACE IT??
Hi,that's an issue with the light engine.Basically there's 3 chips blue, green and red they create the image on the tv ,when they start to fail you'll get those spots all over, mostly in the corners.God bless you!
I had the same problem, first a blue spot then a green spot showed up. I contacted Panasonic Customer Support. They sent someone out and they fixed the TV for free. They reprogrammed the EEPROM chip in the TV. It is a defect. My TV was 4 years old and out of warranty. They came out last week.
So long as it is not happening by something you have done. It will be fixed free of charge. Call them, it solves the problem.
The picture tube of the tv has 3 color in CRT Red, Green, Blue. The red cathodeof tv set has no function, its either the resistor become higt resistance, that why u need a repairman to replace it.
