On your particular model the seconds hand is the small dial at 6 o'clock and if you look at this you should see this moving around constantly. The larger hand you may think is the second hand is actually your Chrono hand and will only go around when using the stopwatch etc.

SOURCE: re-set quartz chronograph sweeping second hand

Easy Soultion worked for me. Believe Me I was worried only had the Seiko Sportura for a week now. My second dial for the stopwatch was re-setting to 5 seconds instead of zero. The Solution is
1. pull the Crown all the way out ( In the position you take the crown to set the time , second click ).
2. To set the minute face of stop watch , keep pressing the top button untill it is zero. To set the second needle to zero keep pressing the bottom button untill it reaches zero or where you like it to re-set each time. Depend on you.
3. Once all neddles of stopwatch are at resting postions ( usually zero) secure the crown back to its normal postion. Test your stop watch , hopefully it will go back to zero when you press the reset button. C

SOURCE: Sweep 2nd hand operation & watch time setting on my Pulsar watch.

The larger second hand on the Pulsar PF8036 is part of the stopwatch feature. The upper button starts/stops the stopwatch feature, and the lower button operates the lap/reset function. Why they made the larger hand work only with the stopwatch instead of the smaller hand to the left is beyond me, but that's how it is designed.

What are the three little faces for? do not have instructions

Your watch is a chronograph or a watch that includes a stopwatch. Two of the three dials are for recording minutes and hours with the large sweep second hand recording seconds. Pushing the upper button starts and stops the stopwatch function. Pressing the lower resets everything to zero. The small bottome dial is the seconds hand for the watch, it always is moving.

The second hand on my invicta chronograph watch doesn't reset to zero

Easier than you think.
Pull your Crown out to the FIRST stop (were you would normally set your date). Push the "A" button (top chrono button) for your dial at the "3 oclock" area, Push the "B" button(bottom chron button) for the second hand.

I have a police chronograph watch about a year old if that and the chronograph dials have reset themselves at random points does anyone know why and if so is there a fix? many thanks david

hi,
all you need to do is pull the centre bezel out (to where you adjust the time) and by pressing the top button the chronograph needle will move round. Once it is the correct place simply push the centre bezel back in.

Hope this helps.

Pull out the crown and use either a combination or one of the cronograph buttons, this will allow you to adjust the hand positions

Actually the sweep arm can be set to 0 and will probably have to be every time you have the battery replaced. To set the sweep arm pull the stem and crown out to the first or second set position then press and hold down the start button. The sweep arm will move into position and you can let go of the button when it is where you want it. Make sure to set the right time and replace the crown in the time position.

Great watch!!

HI, i have a gucci watch YA077310 and i dont know how to set it. also the second hand does not work.

To set the time, you normally pull out the crown and rotate it. The main (large) second hand is associated with the chronograph function so is stopped at 12 when no using chronograph. There should be a little second hand in a little round area on dial that is moving.
