I have an HP all-in-one L7590 and was receiving faxes automatically with no problem. Now I have recently gotten voice mail and I need to receive faxes manually. But nowhere in my manual does it say HOW to do that, only that I have to be present to receive the fax manually and to turn off the AUTO ANSWER, which I have done. What button do I push, or do I pick up the phone itself to receive a fax manually?

yeppers...same thing happens to mine. So, I simply set it to receive faxes manually now.

Automatic Document Feed (ADF) does not pick up paper. Follow each step, problem seems to be in pick assembly. Prcess took less than 5 minutes with a successful outcome.

the issue needs to be resolved on the other end..It's not an issue with your machine...They need to do 1 of 3 things...either setup distinctive ring with their phone company...or purchase a fax line.. or get something called "the stick"

I have figured it out. No one seemed to understand this was a low-, low-tech problem. When someone was dialing up to send a fax and my phone was ringing, I needed to hit the FAX MENU button and scroll to RECEIVING FAX, click that button and voila, the fax starts to come through. There was no info in the manual about that, which I find curious. Thanks anyway.
did you load the software when you got this printer? I was able to working get AIO by telling I was using to the same phone line that I have my answering machine, so it knows when I am getting a fax or answering machine. Check your settings in the program.
