Either the return air grill(small grill on the inside wall of fridge) is blocked with a loaf of bread or something, or it's the freezer drain is blocked, some fridges use the drain as a return air vent, after unpluging it from the power point, defrost the fridge a remove the back wall plate (interior) of the freezer , & push something down the drain line like whipper snipper cord etc. then poor really hot water down it, check the drain at the back of the fridge for water running, reassemble the fridge pug it in & you should be sweet

SOURCE: Whirlpool side by side fridge not cooling

Yes, only part that gets could is in the Freezer. If block by ice (usually) this will not allow the cold air to go into the ref., if so, defrost problem. Check amount of ice on coils in back of Freezer. Should only be a thin frosting.

SOURCE: the fridge is cold but the freezer won't freeze

It has seperate cooling circuits as you describe the problem can be a leak of refrigerant in the freezer circuit.if there is no heating up in the freezer condensing coil.It has to be check for the leakage.

SOURCE: zanussi fridge freezer not cooling

no, its probably weak capacitors which provide power to switch the relay. Take the control board out and ask a friendly TV repair tech to change the capacitors

I don't have the model number. Fridge/freezer five years old with an electronic control panel on the freezer door. Freezer temp not showing, nor can it be adjusted. Freezer temp lowering, but appears to be...

Well, its good that it is still cooling, however since you cannot adjust the temps, you do still have a problem, and one that may include the unit fails to cool properly.

New whirlpool refrig. freezer ok at 0 but refrig

The freezer get the first crack at cooling and combination units have a fan and adjustable vents to steal some of the cooling capacity for the refrigerator. The vent are normally located in the back of the refrigerator compartment and with these, you can balance the cooling capacity between freezer and fridge. I recommend you swap your thermometer back and forth until you get the balance you want; typically the freezer should be at 5 degrees F or below and the fridge at 35-40 degrees F. Adjusting the control for temperature and having the vents set to supply the cold air you want in each compartment should give you the range you want in each.
