Samsung 7000 led on screen menu is always on and the controller does not function... When pressing the manual buttons on the tv it only changes the input, regardless of the button pressed.
It seems that the firmware corrupted. Just do a hard reset to this TV, and check. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. If this do not help you, a firmware update should be done with the latest firmware, than it has been installed now. Contact authorized service center to get the latest firmware to your model TV by USB. If you wish to get more details, check the link given.

the tv wont come on the standy timer light is on
SOURCE: lost remote control. can't change language
It is always more difficult to operate the menu features of a tv using the manual buttons on the tv. I recommend you unplug the ac cord of the tv from the wall for a day while you go out and buy a universal remote control. After plugging the tv back in and turning it on initially most television on screen prompts immediately direct you to the set up menu which includes setting the language.
Follow the instructions on the universal remote and program the remote to the tv using the power button on the remote to determine if you have reached the right code. It will then be possible to operate the menu features of the tv via the remote control and thus change the language back to english.

SOURCE: connected DVD player to Sanyo DS27930 TV via input
According the manual for this TV the remote control has an input button, it is left of the power button. Make sure that the remote mode slected for TV not VCR or DVD and press input button to make a selction, make sure that the power to the DVD player is on. If yours is different try stepping through the channels buttons, some TVs input is selected through the channel buttons.
SOURCE: can't select front input without remote
I had the same problem, had a universal DirecTV remote that was able to control the volume/mute, power and channels (both TV and DirecTV), but the input button didn't work. There was no av/tv button on the front of the tv, and the autoregistration of channels didn't pickup the gamecube on the AV channel. What solved it was simply to press "00". I couldn't believe it, but it was that simple. Hope this helps you like it helped me, since the tv was not going to be of much use since we were using the RCA inputs, not the coax. Didn't want to try to conver the RCA to coax either.
