After brewing machine couldn't seem to eject ground, instead it makes the usual ejection noises and then a squeezing sound and then more loud noises follow by the squeezing sound again. Did it 4 times and then malfunction 8 mode came on. I tried to clean the inside parts where my fingers and water faucet could reach but it's still dead.

To fix this problem you need to clean the layers and layers of coffee mud off the plates that dispense the spent grounds into the hopper. My suggestion is to do this major muck cleaning before you even put the cleaning tablet in.
Get a flashlight and pull the trays out and have a look at the mechanism that dumps into the hopper. You will see the layers of gunk that need to be scraped off. Easiest thing to get in there is a finger to start, then place it next to your sink and clean it with a water jet from your kitchen faucet, provided your faucet will allow you to do that. Let the runoff go into the sink of course. After you get it cleaned up, then put the machine through the cleaning cycle.
If you can't get the problem solved, the fix is a flat $200 from Capresso.

SOURCE: How do I disassemble and clean the brew unit motor
I have some good instructions I downloaded from www.kaffeestudio.com . They are in German, but with many pics. If you are technically adept, then it is really no prblem. You should put in new o'rings and lubricate with the food grade silicon grease before reassembly, otherwise it won't be long before you are doing it again. Give yourself about 3 hours to perform this task the first time. One thing to remember. The cleaning tablets tend to strip the lubrication from the brew units, subsequently binding up the brew unit, sometimes tearing the o'rings and giving the malfunction 8. Plan on this being an ongoing maintenance exercise. Plan on at least once every year or two to have to do this.

I had a similar problem. I took off the side and rear cover, followed the hose that comes from the steam wand to the rear of hte unit. It enters a solenoid made by ACL Italy. I dismantled the solenoid unit by disconnecting the two hose ends, removing the relay, and unscrewing the plunger unit (vertical pipe). The plunger unit internals should move freely up and down like a piston in a cylinder , powered by a small spring. In my unit, this plunger was calcified and seized. I soaked it in boiling water and pressed on it gently several times and it unstuck. I put it all back together again and presto! Good luck

Hi,
This error is due to the coffee sludge built up in the system and needs you open the machine and clean it.
Note - Capresso recommends that you unplug the unit, wait a minute, and then
plug in and turn on. Try twice if the first time doesn't work. If you
still have a problem, call Capresso, and if your machine is under
warranty they will repair it for you free of charge and even pay
shipping both ways.
