In protective mode the tv does not turn on and light is blinking, typically we must proceed by elimination as some faulty sections are preventing the tv to switch on. unplug the output power connectors from the power supply until the latter stop clicking. if it is still clicking after every of the output rail have been disconnected, then the power supply itself is faulty.

When I turn on the power with the remote the TV comes on for a brief moment and then shuts itself off. The red power light flashes, but I can't get the TV to go to any of the menus. Once before this happened and I discovered that a sleep setting had been programmed at the store where I bought it. But this time I can't even get to a point where I can eliminate whatever setting is causing this problem.
