Thanks for your suggestion informatica but it didn't solve my problem.

I had already taken a look at the jabra user manual but its section on how to pair the headset with a phone doesn't seem to work for my headset. I can never get my headset to display a solid blue light. When I hold down the power button to try to put it into pairing mode, it just turns the device on and displays a flashing blue light.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Otherwise I'm just going to have to give in and buy a new headset that I can actually pair with my phone :(

Instructions for the Jabra BT125 Bluetooth

For people who are having problems pairing their cell phone with their Jabra BR125 Bluetooth, here are a few simple steps:

First, make sure that the Jabra BT is off (the light should be off). If it's on, hold the flashing button until it goes off.

Second, turn your Jabra BT on. Continue holding your Jabra button (EVEN AFTER IT STARTS FLASHING). Hold onto it UNTIL YOU GET A SOLID LIGHT.

Third, as soon as you get a solid light try pairing up with your cell phone.

Fourth add your Jabra to your cell phone's Bluetooth list by having it search for the Jabra.

Fifth, the cell will ask for a passcode. The default passcode is 0000.

  • shivagarwal Feb 22, 2011

To get the solid light, please press the answer button and the volume up ( ) button at the same time.

Here is the small but most important thing that many are missing out. To get the solid light, please press the answer button and the volume up (+) button at the same time. That will bring up the solid light. Then proceed with pairing as instructed by many guys above....

Yeah, at first even I was not able to get the constant blue light. I tried to consult the shop from where i have procured the Jabra BT125.

I decided to give it another try and I got success. It's all about timing and position. Try pressing the tap button from the broader end (the end having the charging port) and keep on holding even it starts blinking. Then you will get the continuous blue light. Now discover the device from handsfree - bluetooth menu from Sony Erricsson phone.

Follow the rest of steps mention in the manual and there you are.

Voice quality is excellent.

This worked for me, thanks.

1. Switch on Jabra and hold the key until the light is solid blue
2. Use the phone to search for bluetooth device
3. Pair the found Jabra, pass code "0000"

I am using SE K810i and HTC Touch Diamond (Windows Mobile 6), both work fine.

I would like to thank all those who took the time and trouble to answer the queries. Yesterday only i bought my new e 63 phone, after paying almost 800Dhs. The store gave me a free blue tooth headset.. since last night i have been trying to pair the device to my headset but to no avail. I was really worried because it would mean i need to visit that store in another state to find out what was wrong. Luckily i chanced to see through these pages. I tried the method with my phone and now it works just perfect. Thanks all. for saving my time and effort. Though i never asked any query in this forum still it got answered

For ppl who are having a hard time with pair here is the instruction

first make sure that the jabra is off by making sure that there is no any sort of flashing light

2nd keep hold ur jabra (EVEN AFTER IT STARTS FLASHING UNTIL U GET A SOLID LIGHT)

the part in the cap is the tricky one, as soon as u get the solid light then try to pair it up with ur cell phone.

best of luck

How to connet to cell phone?

Hi,this is a detailed description of how you pair your jabra headset to your phone;

Pairing Instructions:

1. Please ensure that the Headset is OFF, i.e the blue light is not flashing.

2. Press and hold the answer/end button until you see a solid blue light (approximately 8 seconds), then release.

3. Set your phone to “discover” the headset by following your phone's instruction guide. Typically, the steps involved going to a “setup”, “connect”, or “Bluetooth” menu on your phone and then selecting the option to “discover” a Bluetooth device.

4. When your phone finds the “Jabra BT125”, it asks if you want to pair with it. Confirm this by selecting “yes” or “ok”.

5. When your phone asks for a passkey, enter “0000” (4 zeros) from your keypad and then press “yes” or “ok”.

(Note: Pairing must be done every time the Headset establishes a link with a different mobile phone or other Bluetooth compatible device)

Thanks and take care

How do i program my jabra bt125 headset to my cell phone

taken from the manual found at

http://www.jabra.com/sites/Jabra/GNimages/Products/WirelessHeadset/BT125%20Black/Documents/User%20manual/BT125_UM_NA_EN_471.pdf

1. Put the headset in pairing mode
• Make sure the headset is off .
• Press and hold the answer/end button until a solid blue light comes on.

2. Set your Bluetooth phone to ‘discover’ the Jabra BT125
Follow your phone’s instruction guide. This usually involves going to a ‘setup,’ ‘connect’ or ‘Bluetooth’ menu on your phone and selecting the option to ‘discover’ or ‘add’ a Bluetooth device.* (See example from a typical mobile phone in fig. 3).

3. Your phone will find the Jabra BT125
Your phone then asks if you want to pair with it. Accept by pressing ‘Yes’ or ‘OK’ on the phone and confirm with the passkey or PIN = 0000 (4 zeros). Your phone will confirm when pairing is complete. In case of unsuccessful pairing, repeat steps 1 to 3.

I cant pair my jabra bt125 with my nokia n97

This is one of the mistake commonly done by many people. First you need to pair. Let me walk you through. First, the headset has to be switched to pairing mode which is done by holding the on button for a while even after the headset is switched on. Then the bluetooth headset light will remain on. You switch on the phone bluetooth, search new device. Then select it and press the option for pairing. Read the instructions which come on the phone display and select accordingly. It will ask for passcode which is usually four zeros. Then it will get paired ask you whether to connect. You select connect and you are done.

Can i pair jabra bt125 with samsung blackjack ??

Mine is a Blackjack II, but i did get it to connect. Hold the clear button down on the Jabra until it lights solid blue, keep holding it with one hand while you use the other hand to operate your Blackjack. I went to Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth, then "Add new device". As long as my Jabra was lit solid blue, the phone found the headset. Then it will ask you for the pin code, which i found by accident (0000 - four zero's).

I lost the instructions. I want to pair my Jabra bt125 with my motorola razr

Hi,

1. I have the Jabra 125. You can get the manual at www.jabra.com if you have a different one.
2. Turn off your phone. Power off. The order of powering on devices is the key.
3. Press and hold your Jabra power button until it's glowing blue (not flashing blue light--but constantly on)
4. Then turn on your phone...and look for wireless devices in your phone menu.
5. Make sure you have bluetooth turned on.
6. the phone will find the Jabra, and then will ask to pair with it. passcode is 0000.
7. That's it.

Again, the key is the order of turning on devices.

Cant par my jabra bt125

First make sure your bluetooth and your phone are fully charged. Next press the on - off button in the middle of your bluetooth until it is a solid blue color. If it is flashing it is not in the pair mode. Just hold it down until it is a solid blue light.
Then set your phone to the pairing mode following your phones set up bluetooth instructions. Select the discover, search, or add function on your phone. Your phone should find the bluetooth device and ask "do you want to pair with it?" Accept by pressing yes or ok on the phone and entering the passkey or pin # of 0000 or 4 zeros.
Your phone should confirm when pairing is complete.

I discovered that I was not holding the on-off button down long enough for my bluetooth to reach the pairing mode and give me a solid blue light.

I hope this helps as I know how frustrating this can be.

Unable to set pairing between jabra bt 125 and bluetooth device

You simply need to hold the button down for a long time, it will flicker blue at first, don't let go of the button, and it'll turn blue for pairing.

Bluetooth Connection

on the jabra head set press and hold the button for about 3 seconds and then the blue light on the headset should stay illuminated. Then go to your phone and search devices, when your phone finds the jabra, you may have to put in a pairing code normally four noughts, zeros (0000), when inputed the headset blue light should change from a solid light to a intermittent flashing light, showing on your phone that the connection is succesful.
