I have PC with A7V400-MX and can't use any ALARMS (programms that can wake up the computer on needing time) on it. I've tryed to make programm by myself and had found that standard CMOS alarm registers not working. Also no such register were found on all of 128 bytes of standard CMOS memory. There seems to Find any info about this question is hard issue. Please help...

If the plug is square it is most likely the 12volts power supply for CPU fan on some motherboards. Don't worry about it, your motherboard does not require this connector and it probably gets the 12 volts from a different connector. Check your old motherboard to see if this connector is for a fan. You can power up and check this connector's voltage with a multimeter.

In such cases its practical to change the SMPS with a working power supply of the same rating and then trying it out. If with the new power supply it works fine then cange your SMPS. Also make sure that all cables are snug tight and generally ree from dust. The same applies to your RAM too................sodeep

A7V400 motherboard problem

You can get the latest drivers from this link: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us. For speeding up booting you should be having at least 1 GB memory(RAM) and you could also use Advanced System Optimizer ver2<, which can be downloaded by using uTorrent. If you can configure it properly, you'll find your PC responding like a race horse.......sodeep
