You need to run a compression test on the cylinder to see if a valve is bad

Your best investment is a Haynes Repair Manual, either from your local Auto Zone or similiar retailer or online: http://www.haynes.com/products/searchType/vehicleApplicationSearch2/searchEnd/yes/sfID1//sfID2//sfID3//year/1997/make/Honda/model/Accord/x/20/y/3/productID/193. Step by step instructions on troubleshooting, repair or replacement, based on a complete teardown and rebuild.

SOURCE: 1995 nissan pulsar wont run properly

What your smelling fuel for is the fact that once you start it your flooding the **** out of it.. your fuel relese valve needs to be closed up a bit, your intake for fuel is to high basically, this can and will happen due to racing, vibration, or just over time. Its one of those problems that occurs now and then, it is a simple fix!!

SOURCE: poulan micro xxv wich will run for 5 mins then flood but why?

clean out the vents on your fuel cap. you may also have sawdust or dirt stuck on the diaphragm in the carburator

SOURCE: flooding

Yes its getting too much petrol , you will have to check the float pin, better to clean the carb.

Curry CID60W16 dishwasher. when you press start it makes a pumping noise but no water enters the machine, the 90min and rapid program light are rapid flashings. water is connected thanks, Gary.

If the pumping noise keeps going after 2 to 5 mins or longer it sounds like the flood sensor is activated it’s under the machine on the flood pan you will need to pull machine out and tilt it back if water run out the there is a leak a hose could have came off you will need to take front or bottom panel off to check but alway make sure you disconnect power first

Zanussi dishwasher anti flood device

There is a water level pressure switch that is your issue. Replace that or if youre lucky, clean the hose/pipe connected to the pressure switch and it could work again.

Husqvarna K 750 did a complete rebuild bearings seals cylinder kit coil and carb filters and all new pipes did a full leak test went for 5 min great came back later and just floods

If its a flooding problem then its a carb issue, and what you have replaced wont have effected the carb. I'd say you should either try stripping the carb and cleaning or replacing the internal carb gaskets. its probably just a sticking needle valve.

IF THE CHOKE IS PULLED OUT APPROX 1/2 INCH ACCELLARATES OK CEPT FOR A POP NOW AND THEN HAS STRAIGHT PIPES.

Spark plugs are right color- due to 'drag pipes your bike no longer has the 'backpressure' required and this will result in pops and backfires when throttle is 'let go'- put factory pipes back on and it'll probably run like a champ-those hondas run forever-just don't **** around with factory specs-they don't respond well-if your lookin for a Harley sound-buy a Harley-if you want cheap reliable transport-leave your honda stock, good-luck.

I have a fiesta zetec s mk5 and have had the heating control valve removed and put some strate through pipes so it has hot air coming from heaters, the temp gauge will start to slowly rise to red then...

If the radiator fans are working correctly, then sounds like a sticking thermostat. Only popping open when getting really hot. I would start with replace the thermostat.
Wait... This a 2011.. don't you have warranty still ?????? Take to dealer..

Why remove heat control valve? Bad idea.. Because of overheat? Put the defrost on and open the front windows to dump heat.

I have a 1995 katana that wouldn't atart. i replaced the spark plugs and it starts now, however, there is a mist of oil that sprays out of the left exhaust pipe

It sounds like you have a crack in the Cylinder Head or worn valve guides that allow oil into the combustion chamber. If you start the bike and check that all the exhaust pipes are heating up at the front of the cylinder block you can make sure it's running on all cylinders.( Just spit on your finger and a quick dab on each pipe will tell you!) If it isn't then it's more likely the head is cracked or head gasket blown.
I accept no resposibility for burnt fingers. Safe Riding!

Have been having issues starting bike. Engine seems to be flooding for no apparent reason. e.g., this has happened multiple times.Started it today ( idling little low round 0.5k revs), let it run for 5...

A flooding problem is usually due to a problem with the foat and the needle/seat in the carburettor. This could be sticking open and allowing the engine to flood. Also, alowing an air cooled engine to run stationary for extended periods builds up considerable localised heat and this could be causing fuel to percolate and flood the engine. Back fire could be coming from a sticking valve - from the heat and a carbon build-up?

But first check the floats and needle and seats in the carb an shut off the fuel tap after shutting down the macnine.
