My Laptop just blacked out, tried to turn on and it loads the UNITA, samsung screen with the option for f2 setup or f4 recovery then it goes and disappears into blackness. Then nothing happens, fan is on and everything sounds likes its running but nothing is happening at all. If I press fn + f7 it lights up slightly then it brings up still on the black screen a windows is loading files message next is the windows logo then it goes into samsung recovery solution 5, after please wait it then stops, and its like this for hours. I have also tried inserting the recovery cd I get last the language and option it then goes onto setup is starting but then again it's like this for hours. I have tried every option I can think of and still nothing. The laptop has probably maxed out its harddprive and I don't think it's been defragmenter at all, it's about 18 months old.
You are lucky that this issue is operating system based from what it seems, try to work the recovery option, let it be that way for hours. It will move at some point.
Did you have a AV installed? If not it is crucial to have an anti-virus software installed on PC.
If all the efforts appear fruitless, contact Samsung; it could be a hardware issue as well... although they are less frequently observed.

See if you can download it from Microsoft. It seems to be related to the languge translators in Windows (NLS file).
