I have a RCA model HD52W67...when I press the on button, it acts like it wants to come on then it cuts off..the screen never lights up or anything. I tried to press the on button again and it will not do anything unless I unplug and depress the on button. The on button does light up for a few seconds then goes off....any help would greatly be appreciated......
I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THAT THE 2 CAPACITORS ON THE POWER SWITCH WERE LOWER VOLTAGE THAN WHAT MY SET NEEDED--THEY ARE TURNING OFF AND ON BECAUSE THEY ARE ALMOST BLOWN. WHEN THEY GO TOTALLY OUT THEY WILL NO LONGER TURN ON.
WHEN YOU VIEW THEM THEY WILL HAVE A( PUFFED UP HEAD) ON THEM AND LOOK LIKE A BATTERY WITH 2 WIRES ON TOP. ONE IS BIGGER AND TALLER THAN THE OTHER.
IF YOU'RE IN BACK OF THE SET THEY ARE ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE BACK CASE MUST BE REMOVED FIRST- AND THE MIDDLE RACK DOES COME OUT TO LOCATE.
TURN THE SET OFF BEFORE STARTING AND HAVE A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SOLDERING, AND GET THE CORRECT SIZE CAPACITORS--MINE WERE UNDER RATED FOR MY TV, OF WHICH CAUSED THEM TO START TO GO OUT. PROBABLY MOST OF THEM ARE NOT THE PROPER AMPERAGE.

I have a RCA HDTV, projection. When I press the on button, it acts like it wants to come on then it cuts off..the screen never lights up or anything. I tried to press the on button again and it cycle through the same ordeal. It takes about 30 minutes to get the TV to come on. The on button does light up for a few seconds then goes off....any help?
