Blurry images My camera is 1 1/2 years old. I have had no problems until last month. Every image is blurry. I tried the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual, cleaning the lense and turning off the macro mode. Neither worked.

I have the same problem with my Fuji F10. Just after a year the LCD screen just became very blurry and won't focus. I thought the problem was just the lcd so I tried to take photos anyway. The photos too were blurry. Any suggestions anyone?

I would suggest you go in setup and reset the camera then set to auto and take a photo. Make sure you press the button half way for 2sec to allow time for camera to be ready.

Second I would suggest you go manual and try to take a photo if in both cases it doesnot work then call fujifilm asap.

Hello! I actually have a TZ3 and have been having problems with the quality of the pictures without using the zoom (grainy) as well as problems with the quality of the picture when using the zoom...

Hello, yes a few suggestions "grainy" could be from an auto ISO setting the sensor speed high as in possibly ISO 400 even 800 or higher you get the pictures but it's grainy. On pocket point and shooters this is most often the case in full automatic modes and on your camera it's called "Intelligent ISO Mode" You should consult your manual and select a more user selectable ISO speed manually. Another feature with your camera is image stabilization this you can turn on or off preferably off when the camera is mounted to a tripod. Okay for the blurry part on the zoom the quickest way to explain this is every tiny movement you make holding the camera is magnified 10 times, this is where the image stabilizing feature would be handy. Jennifer in my younger days I could hold a 35mm camera with a 300mm lens steady at 1/60 of a second now I use only a 200mm lens with image stabilization "on" to get the same results. What you have is a full time auto everything camera if it's working for you it doesn't matter if it's 3.5 years old. You are still working with a 7.2meg camera with a print capability of 11x14. hope this answered some of your questions.

Blurry images

Sounds like a lens problem. If you've ever let the camera "auto turn-off" as a power-saving measure, any button pushed will turn it back on...even if it's in a case or your pocket. This puts strain on the lens as it tries to come out...result....lens problems.

Memory card contains no images after camera turned back on

It may be the images are there but the camera is not reading them... I would try to find a place (possibly a photo retailer or a computer repair place) with a card reader to check out to see if that is the case.

Blurry pictures

I just checked out the canon website, there is a link there regarding the CCD image sensory advisory. They are aware of the problem of all of a sudden getting a blurry picture and will fix it for free. Just call the toll free number on the site and they will send you a free mailing label and tell you what to do. They said it will take 10 days to fix, buy hey it's free.

Cannon Powershot s500

Dear caloividal:

What you are describing sounds like the early stages of a CCD image sensor problem. Discoloration and / or blurriness are typical first symptoms. I would simply do a reset of your default camera settings to see if this makes any difference. If not, contact Canon Tech Support at 1-800-828-4040 to see if they feel you are experiencing the CCD Image Sensor Advisory issue, which this camera is covered under. If you are then the issue will be repaired at no cost to you.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

SONYA CYBERSHOT DSC-S600

sounds like someone has changed the shutter speed. Look in owners manual on how to change back to default. might also look at the picture type settings but setting the camera for action shots u will get better images if there is movement in the image.
