1. This carburetor does not have any mixture adjustments due to EPA regulations

2. I just got it out of the shop and it ran beautifully until it ran out of gas. After filling the gas tank it started acting like this. So I thought I had some bad gas. I went down to the gas station, bought brand new PREMIUM gas, and gave it the 2-stroke oil mix .... No change. It will idle but when you try to rev it up it dies

My mantis tiller with a honda gx22 engine starts then shuts off after approx. 30 sec.

If your unit has a primer bulb, start your engine . When it starts to die push your primer, if the engine comes back to life you have a carb issue.

Just purchased a new FG 110 tiller it seems to run fine for a while then I have to release the throttle to keep it from stalling out. It has less then 20 minutes of use. I have installed the oil. It will...

It sounds like you may have a "lean" carburetor mixture setting on the high side or full throttle. This carburetor may have limiters or special screws that will make it difficult for you to adjust. You may try contacting a dealer to see if they could try adjusting it for you or just take the unit back.

I also have Mantis tiller for 2 years. From the very beginning I had a problems. I was referred by Mantis to the repair store and was charged $90.00 for oil drainage. The second time I was waiting for handle replacement for ~ 1 month. This tiller can't handle even little jobs and the warranty doesn't worth a dime. Maybe I will be more successful using it in my living room . I have an equipment with Briggs and Stratton engines and I never had a problem.

To me Mantis mean big advertisement and waste of money.

My Mantis Tiller 4cycle engine starts well but when I press the throttle completedly, the tines turn very slowly. This is a brand new tiller, used only twice. The engine is sitting all the way down on the...

I had same issue with my 2 year old 4cycle. Check if the carb is moving full stroke with throttle movement. I had almost no movement at carb at full throttle, found the trigger in throttle handle was cracked and bent rather than pull cable. I called mantis and they promptly sent a new handle bar ***'y with new cable, throttle ***'y Etc and that solved my problem.

BTW: If you cannot wait, I did figure out that if I pushed the carb to open with the throttle trigger fully pulled it would run at high, but when you let go.....LOL

My rear tine tiller lurches out of control when I use it

Hi it sounds like you are trying too till the soil with the tiller in the fast position and probably too deep for your first pass. Really the fast position is for transporting the tiller from the field. Try putting the tiller in slow which would be the down position. Turn the throttle all the way foward, engage the tines and push your depth rod on the back down to where it is only going into the soil about four inches or even less depending on the hardnes of the soil. Even though a Troy is the best Tiller made it will try to run away with you when your trying to hog the soil all at once. Your depth setting is very important and people seem to forget the importance of adjusting it. Try these things, and remember to alway's start your tilling in the slow full throttle position. Lowering your depth a little at a time. Till you find the appropriete feed for your speed.
