SMB I am trying to send documents via SMB to a folder. Everytime i try to do so, i get an error deletion error. Not sure what to do to fix this. any ideas?

The following is the list of info required to setup smb scanning. The easiest way to enter it, is via the devices webpage. Make sure the folder is fully shared.

"Host Name" = The computers name

"Port Number" = Either 139 for windows XP computers or 445 for windows 7 computer

"Path" = name of folder where the scanned documents are sent/saved.

"Login User Name" = Windows user name

"Login Password" = Windows login Password

check that every one has a pin code??? is the folders on all computer shared.

What model copier? What error code? What OS?

when setting up scanning to smb check the file path you are sending the document to. it is easier to store the folder on the c:\ drive under scans. Also ensure you have the correct username and password for the pc that has the file stored on it and set the NTLM setting to accept v1/v2.

Hi!

Make sure your firewall is off and that the anti virus does not block the incoming scans!!You also need to set the privacy settings if scanning smb and make sure the folder is shared!!

Check your messenger client is up to date... Try to use messenger version 8 or 9 ... bugs are fully fixed for 8.I think if you try using 8 version it will help.

You need to use the Scan to SMB function.
First create a folder, share it over your network.

Go to the MFP and under the scan to SMB enter the IP and path to the folder, enter the ID and password for the computer.

This will scan to the shared folder.

I had the same issue and fixed it by adding the group "Everyone" to the shared folder permissions (where I was sending my scans) and assigning the "Everyone" group rights to "change" and "read".
