How to disable the energy saver of the amana ptac unit. Once the AC reach the lowest temp on the room , the unit turn off, then when room temp raise it turn on.

To take it out of energy saver mode and back to manual operation, press the up and down temp. Buttons at same time and hold em in. Then press the off switch 2 times fast. Display will change to two dashes, then Let go off tem pop buttons , press heat button once. Then tem o up button until 0 appears in display. Hit off button again and it should be in manual mode.

My Amana ptac unit is blowing air but it's not coming out of the unit as cold as it should therefore never reaching the desired temp of 65...does my unit need 2 be recharged or are lines froze...???
it's known as the split. Room air going into the unit should be 10 to 12 degrees cooler coming out. Unit size, area to be cooled, insulation value and local weather are considered. If the split is close to the numbers the unit is doing all it can. If it's low on freon the evaporation coils will freeze and ice over.

Energy savings turns the fan off with the compressor when set for Air Conditioning
Fan Only means just that (no Air Conditioning)
Fan speeds Quite same as low, Norm same as medium, Super same as High
Temp settings, what the thermostat senses before cycling compressor.

Installed Amana PTAC DigiSmart unit in a patio room, a entertainment bar is located about three feet (3) in front of unit and not the room. The unit only heat and cool the area between unit and the bar...
I have seen this happen many times and if you cannot relocate the bulb of the thermostat to keep it form short cycling, I have mounted a wall thermostat and disconnected the thermostat in the PTAC and wired it in to the wall stat. You may have to install a wall stat in the center of the room away from the bar.

Model number HBLG 12303r how does the energy saver setting work bought this model used.
The energy saver setting will turn the blower fan off when the thermostat reaches the desired room temperature (with the compressor). Other non energy savers only cycle the compressor to regulate the room temp. so their fans will operate continusously using more electricity.

PTAC temp drop should be 20 to 25 degrees across the coil. They never put a service tap on these units. I sell Amana PTACs. You may be alittle low on gas. Check your air TD and that will tell you. The compressor may be overheating due to lack of cool gas to cool the comp. May need a service tech but get a free estimate first. Rus

This goldstar air conditioner model is WG2405RY7 It has an energy saver, but the unit just keeps running and won't shut off, everything else works.
Doe's the temp reach the set point? If not then it will run until it doe's. If you set the stat warmer and the fan keeps running after compressor shuts off check to make sure it is in power saver mode. Most AC units keep more even temp when fan is left on.
