Changing batterie of Cowon I-Audio SSF-M3,20gb

The batterie of my mp3 player hardly last half an hour after being fully recharged. Now I saw batteries for sale on the net and I was wondering how easy or difficult it would be if I try to change the batteries myself as a non-technical expert??? Anyone can help??? Thanks...travelgabi

SOURCE: My JNC SSF M9 20GB MP3 player not working

Hi there,

You have probably deleted all the formatting from it as well when you deleted the music. I did once, but I had a disk with it.

You need to find the software disk that came with the player.

After charging my MP3 player it appears fully charged but it will only play for about an hour and the battery runs down. i have recharged it again, same thing. now what?

The very first time you charge your battery YOU MUST CHARGE IT FULLY!!! If you didn't, that is probably the problem.

Also, even if you charge the player for just a couple of minutes it will APPEAR to have a fully charged battery when it actually doesn't.

Most portable media devices require at least 20 minutes to an hour to fully charge whether the screen shows that it is fully charged or not.

Battery

It is possible the battery could need replacing. Most rechargeable batteries will lose their ability to hold a charge if not used. "If you don't use it, you will lose it." If this is a 1 or 2 gb player, it may not be worth fixing unless you are really good with electronic repair and able to replace the battery yourself.

Unit will not turn on

Your battery is recharged when connected to your computer. Turn the player off and connect it to your computer via the USB cord. The computer must be turned on. Initial charge should be for 10 hours with subsequent charges 3 to 4 hours for a full charge. A quick charge of 1-1/2 hours will give you a 70 percent charge. A fully charged battery will last up to 15 hours under normal use.

Battery life? replace? how much?

The battery for this player lasts 1Day(mp3) and 5-7hrs(video.)
You cannot fit a replacement yourself as you will have to take the player apart. Proffessional help is advisable. A replacement battery will cost around 15$.

Samsung yp-k3

How long does the battery last? it could be the battery meter is wrong. Try raining tha battery completely, do a hard reset then charge it up full again.

If you get 20 + hours then it is keeping its charge. If it is only doing 10 then something is wrong with the battery. The problem with the yp-k3 is it is very difficult to replace the battery without ruining the player (damaging the case). it can be done but you will either mark up the sides. there is a youtube video on how to do it.

How do I charge the philips mp3 player?

Connect the supplied AC/DC adapter/charger to the 5V DC jack on your hdd and the power supply. The AC power icon will indicate on display showing that the Jukebox is now adapter operated. It takes 4 hours to fully recharge the hdd and once the battery is recharged fully, the jukebox can play up to 10 hours of music on the move

Samsung YP K3 only lasts for 2 hours

1. totally discharge the battery so it wont come on.

2. Charge the battery fully

3. Reset the player

Now check how long the battery lasts. If it is still 2 hours there is a problem with the battey and you will need to return the player.

Battery doesn't hold charge

It is just like that because it isn't done recharging. After a while it will turn back to what it's real power level is. You should let your MP3 player recharge for over an hour at least to have it fully recharged.
