Internet light red

Red light goes for defective modem if your 2wire is still in warranty then i would suggest calling your OEM... or if your under a certain package call your internet service provider... one thing might work though but still a risk you may try looking for a PSP powercode it sometimse works with it...
if you got them form AT&T you can buy the power cord alone... just act aggravated that does the trick most of the time or ask for a supervisor...

i have the same problem but to make matters worse mine wont even turn on now but a bunch of people say you have to take it to sony or i dont know if this works but a bunch of people say is does try turning it on or off (i dont know which one) and press the eject and front power button at the same time hope this works tell me if it does

And does this affect your console in any way? If it's still working dont mind the red circle.

Check cable connections.

Try unplugging router from power for five minutes.

If that does not work call Internet Service provider to check if there is a problem with their server.

i decided that i would take the matter into my own hands. i took the hard drive out and turned it on, and to my amazement it work i dont know how, but it worked. i then wanted to play resistance fall of man. i booted up the game and boom it turned off beeped 3 times and the light flashed red onece again.

i took out the hard disk and booted it up again turned it off and put the hard disk back in. ive been playing ever since and it seems to be working fine. just thought that id give u guys a heads up, to help anyone else out there with the same problem. one red light is also the E71 error as well.

sounds to me like the red colour is turned up to high try turning the red colour down in settings if that dont work you will have to find the pot that controlls the red colour and turn it down manualy.cheers darkside

Is the actual router not responding or the internet?

(IE - can you still log into the router but the internet won't work, or will it not even connect to the router)

assuming all the settings (PPOA/PPOE etc) are correct and as long as you know you have got a broadband connection and it's not your service providers fault, check the you dont have a line fault then unplug the router for 30 seconds or so and try again.
