Kitchenaid dishwasher kuds01flss3

Kitchenaid dishwasher kuds01flss
it's suppose to be quiet, but it's now making a noise when it starts up and during some of the cleaning process, like a bad fan, it's probably the motor. The dishwasher is 4 yrs old, we've already had to replace the part which keeps the door from slamming down. There are only 2 of us, so we may wash dishes once a week.

SOURCE: Kitchenaid Superba Dishwasher

gagaweaver, couple of things you want to check here. Check the upper spray arm for any clogged holes or cracks along the edges. Position it in the 12:00 position and run the dishwasher for a little, open the door and verify that it has rotated. Make sure the water entering the dishwasher is min. 120 degrees, use a thermometer. Makes sure that there is no large pans or dishes blocking the upper spray arm from spraying onto the inner door. If all that checks out. You will have to remove the lower spray arm, filter cover and chopper cover to make sure the chopper screen is not coated or plugged up. If it is, it will prevent a good flow of water to the upper spray arm. Catriver..post back.

SOURCE: My Kitchenaid dishwasher not cleaning dishes on top shelf

You need to clean the jets on the machine arm with an old toothbrush etc... then clean out the debris filter on the bottom of the tub near the dryer bar. The calcification in the little jet areas causes this problem. This should help.

The control lock light is on and the machine wont start

You should be able to toggle off the Control Panel Lock by pressing and holding the Energy Saver Dry pad for 4+ seconds. If the light doesn't go off, try shifting your finger position on the touch pad. I have a few appliances where the angle pressure has to be just right for a "press and hold" to be recognized.

If several attempts fail, the keypad, wiring or the main board aren't communicating properly. Please check the model number of the dishwasher; there are several KUDS01FLSS models. Go to http://www.kitchenaid.com/customer-service/manuals/ and enter the model to get the parts list. Some parts are available from Appliance Parts Pro: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/search.aspx?model=kuds01flss . The user interface is here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-user-interface-8270168-ap3085303.html .

I hope this helps.

Kitchenaid kudi01ilwh2 won't start

By won't start do you mean that everything is set ok but when you press Start button then nothing happens.

In that case most likely the door is not sitting properly or the door latch or door switch is faulty causing the dishwasher to not start.

However, if nothing happens on the panel when you press buttons but power is there, then most likely the panel is faulty and can be replaced.

you can trace the parts in these diagrams.

Our Kitchenaid dishwaser will not start.

If all other buttons are working and you can make program settings, then the door switch is not making proper contact. The door has to be firmly closed so that the switch inside the latch tells the controller that it is safe to start the dishwasher when the Start button is pressed.

Try to turn the mains power to dishwasher off and back on and see if there is any difference.

My Kitchenaid dishwasher model KUDS01FLSS6 stopped working. It won't run and the clean light is flashing at me.

you need to clean your dishwasher, leftover soap, food particles, usually cause sensors to be dirty hence it thinks there's some problem with your machine.

I own a KUDS01FLSS3 KitchenAid and the bottoms on top have worn through. What is the panel number for the panel?

I'm not sure what panels you are looking for. I know Appliance Art sells custom stainless panels for the dishwashers that allow you to slide out old panel and insert new one. They also have stainless steel "rolls" for wrap-around dishwashers. www.applianceart.com

Kitchenaid Whisper Quiet + dishwasher making loud humming noise

Very likely pump motor shaft seal leaks water into bearing casing buildup of rust and consequently noise. I just replaced $112 worth of pump assy and it's back to normal. I would also buy repair manual for $10 on-line to be sure how to disassemble the sump to get to the pump.

Door noise

Hello,

Common issue with this dishwasher. Easy fix though!! KitchenAid uses a nylon string that connects the hinges to the springs located along the bottom edges of the dishwasher. I had to pull mine out to perform this service. The nylon string seems to dry out and vibrates as the door opens and closes. All that needs to be done is put some Vaseline or other appropriate lubrication all over the nylon string. Especially where it passes through the roller and stationary guide. That will take care of any squeeking or grinding when opening or closing the door. Be careful as your door will now open just like it did when it was new. Now if I can only figure out how to keep my door from popping open during wash cycles!!!
