Water standing in bottom of dishwasher,after wash cycle is finished? This is a Kenmore model 665.1565591

You may want to try:
Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.
Wait for two minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.
Press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel.
Check to make sure that there's no standing water in the bottom of your dishwasher. Standing water in your dishwasher may indicate that your dishwasher has stopped mid-cycle. You will need to press the "Cancel/Drain" button before you can reset your dishwasher control panel.

Check your wash arms - make sure the holes or nozzels are clear (not blocked), and make sure they are free to turn. And finally, if your dishwasher is all encrusted with calcium and hard-water deposits, you probably need to run a dishwasher cleaner in the machine. (Use Dishwasher Magic, or Finish Corp's Dishwasher cleaner, or Glisten, or even Lemi-Shine detergent-booster powder or their dishwasher cleaner.

Yes , If the program controller has hung it would have skipped the drain cycle. So try to redo the cycle and see if the drain works, is not check the program controller and the drain valve/pump.- if there is food particles that have clogged and blocked.

It is normal for a small amount of water to remain after each loadof dishes is cleaned.

Is the water clear or cloudy?
Is there an odor?

How deep is the water? Less the two inches?

sounds as if you may have blowna fuse on the control board, i would check incoming ower supply first for 110v. if power supply is good i would reomve the panel and check the circuit board for a a fuse that might have blown little white fuse attached to the side of the electronic control

Will not run and water is standing in the bottom. I have checked the electrical breaker and tried different cycles. Can you help.

try pressing the cancel/drain button.Do you hear water draining into sink freely?? if not i would disconnect drain undersink look for a clog right there first
