Angela, Menu, Settings, Language & keyboard, Touch Input, Text Input, under Finger touch precision, choose Calibration tool or even Reset calibration.
If you have the app, yes you can calibrate touch screen.

If it's touchscreen, touch the screen with two fingers and spread them out. Pinch to zoom out, un-pinch to zoom in. If that doesn't work, try to volume buttons on the side
The Lifebook will never work with a finger or plain stylus touch. It must have an appropriate Wacom Stylus. Various Wacom products will function but the original will fit the screen dock. I'm not familiar with your laptop but judging from all the pdas I've had with touch screens the pen itself is only a pen, you could basicly use a wooden stick to poke at the screen and it shouldn't make a difference to the computer.
this laptop has a touchscreen If I'm not mistaken and you should be able to use it even with your fingers.
You might have a faulty touchscreen or then you need to install a driver for the screen?
