1992 gmc 5.7 350 nv3500 4wd standard transmission loses power while engine revs like my clutch is slipping, but no grinding gears and clutch pedal is fine. any ideas on what may be wrong

does sound like slipping clutch , you may not get all the symptoms at once , the slipping usually starts first then the hard gear change etc cant think what else it could be , may have oil contamination on clutch plate this would cause the slip , crank seal ? i think your going to have to drop the box and have a look keep me posted if you wish

Pulled this code off my 05 lancer po736 what does it mean

Here is the definition for the code.

P0736 MITSUBISHI Description This diagnosis monitors actual gear position by checking the torque converter slip ratio calculated by Transmission Control Module (TCM) as follows:

Torque converter slip ratio = A x C/B

A: Output shaft revolution signal from revolution sensor
B: Engine speed signal from Engine Control Module (ECM)
C: Gear ratio determined as gear position which TCM supposes
Possible causes - Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

While pulling out of a parking lot, my foot slipped off the clutch (snowy/wet boots) and the engine died, then wouldn't start. Is there something else going on?

if it wont crank over im thinking that maybe the clutch pedal damaged the clutch safety switch under dash near top of clutch pedal stroke-prevents you from starting engine without foot on clutch pedal.

I think my timing belt slipped. It broke on the highway i had it towed home and changed the belt and water pump. When I put it all back together it wouldn't start. I checked the timing mark on the crank...

You installed the belt with the crankshaft 180 degrees out of place. It is very unlikely that the belt slipped, unless there is internal damage in the engine.

My liftoff revolution smell like it is burning after I use it

That means that the belt is worn and is starting to slip. You need to replace the belt. Here is the belt you need and a manual you can view with instructions:

NO POWER / SHUDDER

Is it a standard or automatic transmission? If standard, your clutch may be slipping. While driving down a straight road, push the brake while still in gear and push the gas pedal as well. If the engine slows with the vehicle, the clutch isn't slipping. If the engine speeds up while the vehicle is slowing down, the clutch is slipping.
If it is an automatic, check the transmission fluid. You may be low and the transmission is slipping while under load, or the torque converter is slipping for the same reason. You may have a bad torque converter clutch switch, but the computer should have picked that up and made your "Check Engine" light come on.
These are the main reasons you would be losing power going up hills unless your engine isn't powerful enough to handle the larger tires on extreme hills. (It takes more power to turn a larger wheel going up hill since the vehile has to travel further for each revolution of a larger tire. Incidentally, have your speedometer checked. You will be going faster than what the speedo says since you put larger tires on.) Good Luck.
