Plug
your iPhone into your computer or wall adapter to charge. If it does
not charge when connected to either of these, you probably have a dead
battery. The battery will need to be replaced (GSM (AT&T) or CDMA (Verizon)).
Bad display
It
is possible that it appears nothing is happening because the display is
bad. If the iPhone sounds like it is working properly but nothing is
visible, it is possible the display is bad and must be replaced (GSM (AT&T) or CDMA (Verizon)). Unfortunately, the LCD and glass panel are fused together, and must be replaced as one unit.
Bad logic board
If nothing else works, your logic board is probably bad and needs to be replaced (GSM (AT&T) or CDMA (Verizon)). God bless you

The power supply is simply a wall charger with a USB charging port. You should be able to locate one from any mobile phone outlet or a number of web sites.
When you connect the power, does the charge light lit up? this would tell you the power is transmitted to the battery, wich would mean your DC-jack (where the power goes in) is fine, and the problem might be fixed by:
removing the battery,
remove the power,
hold powerbutton for 20 secs,
re-insert power jack(not battery)
press power on button.
If that didnt work, try the following to determine the DC-jack is the problem:
remove battery
insert power into dc-jack
gently press the power plug into various directions while constantly pressing and releasing the power button.
at some point the laptop should respond by turning on, meaning that you have a faulty dc-jack, which needs re-soldering or even relacement by soldering to repair.
Maybe you also notice that the power connector is very loose in the dc-jack, this might tell you that the dc-jack is the problem..
charge it for a full day before trying to turn on my nokia was left for 6 months drained... i left it to charge overnight, but to be sure try 24 hrs :-0
The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord. Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.
If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.
The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.
If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.
I guess you've got a broken laptop power dc jack or power cable.
Symptoms of a broken Laptop DC power jack:
- The laptop only operates when you hold the DC power plug in a certain direction (DC jack is broken or loose). - The laptop only runs on battery power (no power is getting through the DC jack). - The laptop gets no power at all. - The laptop will not charge the battery. - The laptop switches from AC power to battery power intermittently due to a loose or broken power jack. - The laptop suddenly shuts off. - The DC jack may feel loose. - Sparks come out of the back of the laptop when you insert the power plug into the DC jack.
Here below is a guide about how to repair laptop DC jack, may it will help. http://www.laptoprepair101.com/laptop/2007/12/06/dc-power-jack-repair-guide/
You need to check the charging system. Take a volt OHM meter and go to the positive and then the negative posts. It will tell you how many volts it is putting out. If it is not charging at least 13.9 volts, then you bought a faulty alternator. If the alternator is good then check the belts to make sure they are tight enough. When you push on the belt at about 3 inches from the alternator it should not give more than 1/4 to 1/2 inch. If it does move more, then tighten the belts. If it is a V belt, just tighten the alternator. If a serpentine belt, check the belt tensioner and belt routing to make sure it is on right. The diagram should be under the hood.

sounds more like your dc jack(where you insert your plug into the laptop ) is going bad. If you have a multimeter the first thing to test would be your charger to make sure it isnt faulty. If the charger is fine then it is most certainly the dc jack. Replacing the dc jack is best to be left to someone who specializes in that kind of repair but if you know how to solder it may be something that you can do yourself. click here for more info on dc jacks.
