probably a bad/disconnected shifter switch first of all check to make sure that the shifter switch is connected underneath you can order a new one here www.powerwheelsoutlet.com
the peg perego gators have two switches in the shifter that need replaced. I have replaced them before on my grandkid's gator. Here is the website I get my parts from http://www.shopjandl.com/kids---baby-ride-on-toys-peg-perego.html You can also call them direct at 1.801.655.0800. They seem to always know which part I need and I have always been very happy with their service. Hope this helps
If it is new, contact Peg Perego for a replacement. If it is not new, you can upgrade the shifter to a better version. (I just upgraded the one on my kids' gator.) You can buy the upgraded shifter for $24. http://tigerimports.net/sunshop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=7095
Hi,
If you have a clicking problem, I would check the wiring on the foot pedal. something is not connected right, which is making the fuse click.
You can contact J&L at this link or call there toll free number. http://www.shopjandl.com/kids---baby-ride-on-toys-peg-perego-switches-and-shifters.html.
They have switches and other parts for these peg perego gators, but I would talk to them to make sure.
How did you take it apart . I can't see how to remove it
