My Amana lw6143wm (1994) when in spin cycle goes out of balance and stops. Redistributing clothes fixes the problem. The slightest unbalance of the load sends the washer out of balance. It is not the limit switch.
I suspect the tub balance springs or the snubber pad & isolator, or both. My local parts store does not think it is the springs (7), they believe it to be "something else". They tell me the springs don't wear out, they break. How difficult is it to replace the snubber pad?
Thank You
SOURCE: AMANA WASHER WILL LEAKS WATER IN TUB AFTER SPIN CYCLE.
Cylon, sounds like you need to replace the water inlet valve. It's not seating and weeping water. For series 10 the part number would be 40097701. Not that hard of a job. Catriver..post back.
SOURCE: won't drain or spin
Sounds like the lid switch which is only about 30.00 to fix if you do it yourself. It's a little difficult but it's much better than replacing or having someone come in and do it
SOURCE: TIMER ON WASHER MAKES A TICKING SOUND DURING CYCLE
HI, this timer is faulty and, these are early warning signs of potential failuer of this device in the near future. i would prepare to replace the timer control soon. the actual mechanism is showing signs of breakdown.

its the brushes on your motor or your pump is blocked or defective
SOURCE: washer makes noise during spin cycle
It could be that your drive coupling is getting ready to puke. Mine did. I also had a part fail and drop between the washer tub and the housing that surrounds it- Made a hell of a noise when the washer was spinning. I fabricated a new part/assembly to fix it. All mass-manufactured products have the same flaws. Cause they are all the same! I own a Kenmore Elite- if you don't, this may not apply to your problem.
