To put it briefly, (leaving out the more amusing parts.) I changed and then lost the settings for Mic gain, Rx vol, Key Vol,.Tx PGA etc. - after putting in the code *#8999*8378# well, (''thanks, over-indulgence'') - people report I'm barely audible over the cell, can barely hear the tones, and assorted little glitches.
I realize tampering with things that are built on manufacturing codes was fundamentally stupid....
Details: I can possibly wing the rest of the settings based on Audio Settings/Normal- Rx vol- Key vol etc settings (- found after keying star hash 8999 star 8378 hash - as you knew naturally). Yeah, tried restore fact but that doesn't change it, and dont have another d500 to compare my settings with. Sorry for a boring chore and thank you very, very, very much. I'll visit your page every day for a year and tell all my friends about your page, if you do this favor or me.Well, in my heart at least.
