How do I use micro sd card in camera

SD and Micro SD memory cards has a small slide switch on the edge of the card, which write protects data on the memory card or add photos to the SD card. Slide the switch from the LOCK position to the UNLOCK position, which is furthest away from the contacts.
You may have a software write protection enabled.

If your camera uses a SD memory card then the write protect switch maybe on.

Your camera uses smartmedia cards, which are available upto 128MB. From present day standards, they are very small memories. They are also not cheap. Looks like it is advisable to buy a new camera, which can be bought cheaper. Also very large memory cards (SD and SDHC cards) with up to 32GB are available now. A 4GB SD card sells under $10. If you look at the smartmedia card price from the manufacturer's web site, you will understand why I recommend a new camera.

Your camera uses xD cards, not SD. Now if you are using a micro-SD adapter, make certain that the cards you are using are 2GB or less standard micro-SD cards. Your camera will not work with 4GB or larger micro-SDHC cards as that format had not yet been invented when your camera came out.

I think you mean the adapter that lets you put a micro-SD card into a full sized SD card slot. These are easily obtained on Amazon, often included when you buy a micro-SD memory card, but also available separately.

The microSD card has no visible write protect tab that you can access: you need to use a Micro-SD to SD/mini-SD adapter that usually comes with your Micro-SD card and use the ON/OFF sliding tab on the adapter to disable or enable the wiite protection on your Micro-SD card: test the access via the adapter card before removing it.

The five pics are being stored on the camera's internal memory. The card you used was formatted and used in your phone. It's a miracle it worked at all. You need to get a new card, format it in your new camera have fun.

No this is not possible. Olympus is using the xD-Picture Card.
If you get an microSD to xD adapter (Olympus MASD-1 adapter) it is possible to use Micro SD Cards.
