My jvc grd37u camcorder suddenly lost all audio. My old tapes wont even play the audio, just the video. I left it out in my truck over night and came across this next time i used it. Im guessing it is my speaker but how can this happen over night? It didnt get wet or anything. Maybe a little bit of heat was exposed. Any good/cheap places i could take it to get it repaired?

No such thing as a good cheap repair with that type of gear.
Sure it is not the speaker. Might not be cost effective given the proprietary parts and intensive labor involved

SOURCE: Problems with playback of HI8 tapes...

What's happening is that the tape in the cassette is being chewed on one side by the camera's tape transporting mechanism during playback, hence the distorted image and sound. The mechanism might be damaged (misalignment) or just dirty. Try not to play other tapes on this unit because they will become permanently damaged. The best way is to find another camcorder (if cleaning does not help). Note that some old cassettes of long recording time will exhibit this behavior more often because of thinner tape used.

SOURCE: Pink lines when i play back my tapes on my canon zr500

Hopefull your not going through the tv and then to your dvd recorder
transfer should go straight from your camera to the dvd recorder.
you may also want to but a head cleaner for a mini dv camcorder, run it twice and try recoding again. If that doesnt work, you may have a problem with the heads inside of the camera. If thats the case,it would need to go to canon or an authorized service center.

I have lost disc of my JVC GR-D750 camcorder,I couldt find its software from net, what's the solution to transfer videos from cam to laptop

If it comes with micro tape then you need to provide a USB audio-video adapter. Connect and play it. Or if it comes with memory card then you need a card reader.

JVC camcorder won't play and says Condensation present

Get the tapes professionally transferred to DVD before they deteriorate. As for the camcorder, any repair would not be cost-effective.

JVC Gr-DVL300 Won't playback

The heads are probably dirty. First you can try to let a tape run through from start to end and see if it cleans the head. then try running in reverse play scan. Next try a head cleaner tape if you have not yet. If these things do not get your picture back you should take it to a repair shop, I do not recomend taking camcorders apart for cleaning at home. Full size VCR's are ok to clean your self with instructions but not camcorders because they are vary easy to damage worse without experiance and proper tools.

Do i need a new cam???

You cannot tell if the switch for the eject is broken on the printed circuit boar, or the switch knob may only be internally broke unless you take the camcorder apart. I have seen just the knob break off inside and this know is only a few bucks + the labor, and thats what ia going to cost the most.
