Make sure both hot and cold water supplies are turned on. Select a cold wash cycle and start the wash cycle, do you get cold water? Now select a hot wash cycle and start the wash cycle, do you get hot water? If you only get cold water replace the hot water fill valve. If you only get hot water replace the cold water fill valve. If you get neither replace both fill valves.

usually the wash is a mix of hot and cold and the rinse is just cold, that said, it is most likely a problem with the cold water supply. check to make sure the cold water valve is all the way open and the hose isn't kinked. If those are ok turn the water supply off and remove the supply lines on the machine side, you will see a screen inside the washer that may be clogged with sediment. If so, just clean it out and put it back together. You may also want to run a wash cycle on cold only to see if it fills slowly for the wash cycle. If it does fill slowly on cold you have low pressure on the cold side.

The first thing I would check is shut off the cold water valve at the wall and remove the hose at the washer.carefully pry out the little screen in the inlet and clean well,reconnect hose and turn water back on FH is a water inlet issue I am hoping that what is happening is that when the washer starts its wash cycle it is probably filling with warm (hot) and cold water at the same time even though it might be mostly hot,but when it comes time to rinse (cold water ) there is not enough to make the computer happy and you get your FH error.. I also have a Whirlpool washer/dryer for my condo, although I don't know the model number of mine. I had the same problem -- after it was precisely a year old, suddenly one day the hot and cold started coming out reversed. I was able to fix mine by more or less temporarily fiddling with the water pressure. What I did was one time, when the rinse cycle was running and the washer was filling up with hot water (grrrr...), I completely shut off the valve supplying hot water. So at that point the water stopped filling into the washer, and then I started tinkering with the cold water, twisting the valve off and on a few times. Then BINGO, suddenly the cold water "kicked in" and for the remainder of the rinse cycle, it filled the washer with cold water. I then turned the hot water valve back on, and since then it has been running correctly.

You need to replace the inlet valve.

The valve can be tested reading ohms with a multimeter or swapping hot and cold contacts on dual valve.

Littleone.. please check your instructions.. some washers now dont need Hot water connection to them...they heat their own as part of the efficiency settings on the wash programmes themselves!
