Has alarm going off of hi temp on the fridge side, any ideas?
Maybe not defrosting. Take out several baskets until you can get at the screws that hold the back panel on and remove it. Now you should be able to see the evaporator. And likely a lot of ice/heavy frost. In that case, use a blow dryer or heat gun - I used the latter since I had so much solid ice - and start melting the ice away. Before you melt the ice around the defrost thermostat which clamps to one of the evaporator tubes, disconnect its 2 wires and check for continuity. Should have continuity when it's that cold. Then check continuity for the heater element. Usually it's around 30 ohms. If you're lucky, the fault lies with one of those components.
